How to register for the FIRST® LEGO® League International Open Championship (FLL IOC)
This document will help you to register for the FLL IOC. Please read it carefully before registering. If
you do have any difficulties whilst registering please telephone: +44 (0) 7720 088959 between 9am
and 9pm UTC.
There are 5 registration buttons:
 Teams & coach/mentors
 Visitors
 Judges
 Volunteers
 Accommodation
PRICES DO NOT INCLUDE VALUE ADDED TAX (VAT). VAT is charged at 20%.
WHAT WILL I NEED BEFORE REGISTERING ON LINE?
TEAM/COACH/MENTOR REGISTRATION:
Before registering please collect the following information:
 A CREDIT/DEBIT CARD to pay for the total cost of the team members’ and coach/mentors’
registration fee.
 Team registration code – this was sent to you by your FIRST® LEGO® League country
partner.
 Decide who will be the primary and secondary contacts and have their name, email address
and phone numbers.
 Team details – team name, school name, first language, country.
 FIRST® LEGO® League challenge details – a short description of your team’s favourite
mission, their project and a fun fact about the team.
 Description of any dietary requirements for individual team members/coaches/mentors.
 Description of any accessibility requirements for individual team
members/coaches/mentors.
WHAT DOES THE TEAM/COACH/MENTOR REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDE?
The registration fee for team members and coach/mentors is £215 per person (+VAT). Teams with
over 6 team members are required to have 2 or more coach/mentors.
The team registration fee includes:
 All competition venues and activities
 Interactive science fair
 All entertainment during Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday; this includes:
 Welcome event on the University of Bath campus
 An evening in Bath visiting tourist attractions e.g. Roman Baths
 A treasure hunt tour of the City of Bath
 Friendship Evening
 Skyline walk and afternoon English tea
 A goodies bag including drinks bottle





 Shuttle bus from Railway / Bus station to University of Bath
Food and drink at the following mealtimes:
Wednesday lunchtime and evening meal
Thursday lunchtime and evening meals
Friday lunchtime and evening meals
Saturday lunchtime meal
VISITOR REGISTRATION:
Before registering please collect the following information:
 A CREDIT/DEBIT CARD to pay for the total cost of the visitors’ registration fee
 Team name and country
 Decide who will be the primary and secondary contacts and have their name, email address
and phone numbers
 Decide if visitors will buy the with food or without food option
 Description of any dietary requirements for individual visitors
 Description of any accessibility requirements for individual visitors
WHAT DOES THE VISITOR REGISTRATION FEE INCLUDE?
The registration fee for visitors WITHOUT FOOD is £40 per person (+VAT).
The registration fee for visitors WITH FOOD is £85 per person (+VAT).
The visitor registration fee includes:
 All competition venues
 Interactive science fair
 Some entertainment during Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday – to be confirmed
 Shuttle bus from Railway / Bus station to University of Bath
 The WITH FOOD registration also includes food and drink at the following mealtimes:
o Wednesday lunchtime and evening meal
o Thursday lunchtime and evening meals
o Friday lunchtime and evening meals
o Saturday lunchtime meal
VOLUNTEER REGISTRATION:
Before registering please collect the following information:
 Name, email address, phone numbers and country
 Which days and times you can volunteer
 Description of your FIRST® LEGO® League experience
 Description of other relevant experience
 Languages spoken
 T-shirt size
 Description of any dietary requirements
 Description of any accessibility requirements
VOLUNTEERS WILL BE PROVIDED WITH FOOD AND DRINK DURING THE SESSIONS THAT THEY ARE
WORKING AND AN IOC T-SHIRT.

JUDGES WILL BE PROVIDED WITH FOOD AND DRINK DURING THE SESSIONS THAT THEY ARE
WORKING AND AN IOC T-SHIRT.
ACCOMMODATION:
Before registering please collect the following information:
 A CREDIT/DEBIT CARD to pay for the total cost of the accommodation for your group
 Decide who will be the primary and secondary contacts and have their name, email address
and phone numbers
 Team details – team name, school name, first language, country
 The number of rooms you want for each night
 Description of any dietary requirements for group members
 Description of any accessibility requirements for group members
WHAT DOES THE ACCOMMODATION FEE INCLUDE?
The accommodation fee includes one single room and breakfast. The fee is £32 (+VAT) per room per
night.
The University of Bath accommodation is
in student rooms. There is one single bed
in each room and most rooms have
ensuite bathrooms. However there is the
possibility that you may have to share a
bathroom with other members of your
group. The rooms are arranged in
apartments with lockable front doors.
There is a communal area and a small
kitchen in most apartments, which can be
used for team meetings or for relaxing.
Teams will be given their own
apartments. We will try to accommodate
visitors in the same or an adjacent
apartment to the team. To extend your trip, there is the option of booking accommodation before
and after the official competition days. Accommodation is sold on a first come, first served basis.
All teams and visitors have the option or organising their own accommodation in the city of Bath.

WHEN YOU HAVE EVERYTHING READY, CLICK THE REGISTRATION BUTTON YOU NEED

Follow the instructions and answer the questions.
This is the first screen that you will see. You will need to register as a user of this website.
1. Click ‘register an account’
2. Are you a member of the IET? If you are not a member click ‘No’.
3. Fill in your personal details
4. Choose your own username and password
5. If you do not wish to receive notification of IET products and services then untick the box at
the bottom

Now answer all the questions on the registration pages
Proceed to payment and enter your credit/debit card details
Once payment has been made, a receipt will be emailed to you from WorldPay
You will also receive a Registration Confirmation email from the IET containing details of
what you have booked and the price you have paid. Please check this thoroughly.
