New Twinrigger For The Wilde Boys
L’Etaplois III
The L’Etaplois 111 which was
constructed in Socarenam Boulogne, France in 2006 has become
a recent addition to the Irish Fleet.
She has been acquired by Skerries
based Wilde brothers Shane and
Noel.
L’Etaplois 111 is a 22.5mtr Twinrigger which has been upgraded to
freeze her catch at sea. Concentrating mainly on prawns the vessel will tow twin Jackson prawn
trawls supplied by Marine Suppliers, Howth and land her catch to
Ivan Wilde and Dorans

The Wilde Boys bring a wealth of
experience to the L’Etaplois. Both
Shane and Noel have grown up
fishing under the Tutelage of their
father Noel Wilde Senior who coowned and fished the Sabrina, Ave
Maria, Salve Regina, Orion, Pere
Charles and Mater Dei.
Shane Wilde started on Ave Maria

as a Deckhand at age 16. Shane
then moved on to the Pere Charles
which was bought in Boulogne.
Shane began to Skipper her in
2003. She was subsequently
sold in 2005. Shane then bought
the Mater Dei and skippered her
from 2006 until August 2015
before selling her and buying the
L’Etaplois 111. Noel Wilde Jr
worked with Shane on the Pere
Charles and Mater Dei.
