display boards.
2. Having a title of 2 or more inches ensures that the titles can be read from a distance.
3. Having subtitles of 1 inch or more ensures that the researcher and the institution can be
identified easily.
4. The addition of the “University of Wisconsin-Stout” (without the quotation marks) is a UW-Stout
Standard and must be included on all posters.
5. The UW-Stout Shield and Bar logo is a UW-Stout Standard and must be included on your
research poster. For your convenience, it is already on the NCUR template.
6. Sans-Serif fonts are easier to read at a distance.
7. Headings of this size are easy to read and help to identify the main sections of your poster.
8. Text of this size makes it easier to read your poster.
9. Margins around the edges and adequate spacing within the poster keeps the poster from
looking cramped. Adequate spacing gives your poster a more professional appearance.
