NEXT WEEKS TOPIC
In Literacy we will be writing about our visit to the zoo and working hard to
use some of our trickier key words in sentences. In Maths we will be looking
again at doubling and halving. Unfortunately, the weather has meant that we
have not yet managed to start practising for Sports Day, so fingers crossed for
some sunnier weather next week!
SCHOOL TRIP
We are getting very excited about our trip to Newquay Zoo on Monday. Just
to remind you that children need to be in full school uniform for the day.
They should also bring a raincoat, sunhat/suncream, a packed lunch and
plenty to drink. You should all have returned your consent forms by now and
any spending money that you would like your child to have. Can you please
let us know if your child suffers from travel sickness before we depart please?
CUP OF KINDNESS
This week the Cup of Kindness is being awarded to Lexii in the Puffins and
Lauren in the Choughs for some lovely acts of kindness to their friends. Well
done to both of them.
DANCE CLUB
We are hoping that Dance Club with Mrs Russell will begin next Wednesday.
LIBRARY BOOKS
Can we please remind you that the children visit the library every Thursday
afternoon? Please let us know if you cannot find your child’s library book, we
can then delete it from the system and they can bring home a new book.
BEACH SHOP/PIRATE COVE
The Choughs have a new Beach Shop role play area. If you have any old sun
hats, sun glasses, buckets and spades that you no longer use, then the Choughs
would love to have them to sell in their shop. The Puffins role play area is
now a Pirate Cove. If you have any long cardboard cylinders that we can
make into telescopes, or any other pirate things, we would be very grateful me
hearties!

SPORTS DAY REMINDER
Just to remind you that, weather permitting, our Sports Day will take place on
Monday 27th June beginning at 1.30pm.
