In my world every month is burger month but if a
celebration is a must, then I guess we'll just have to eat
some burgers then. We checked in with our usual party
passes like we always do, and got inside with no problems
Show all
at all. Checking in for some reason seemed faster than
usual. As soon as we stepped in and got to the counters
the beers were flowing and fries were readily available at
the table. Yes, salt and pepper fries all night and damn
those wings were good too. Is this a burger spot or a beer
and wings joint?
To get us warmed up for the variety of burgers we would
feast on for the night we had to go back and start with the
basic classic burger, the Big Single is their standard
american burger which was a solid burger that had lettuce
tomato and a slice of american cheese. I couldn't
complain about this burger, it was what you would want in
an american classic.
The Wow burger was next on the tasting and this was my
favorite burger of the night. The meat alone sold me on this
burger as it was infused with cured beef sausage, and the
patty's flavors really stood out for this burger.
The Mediterranean Burger - infused with onion, garlic and
parsley didn't blow me away as much as I wanted it to
because they only relied on the seasonings to pass as
Mediterranean flavors, the toppings remained the same
such as; the american cheese, lettuce, tomato. Sadly, it
pretty much masked this burgers full potential. Although
the sauce that it came with did help the burger out a bit.
The burger that headlined everyones curiosity, Bacon
Coffee Burger - infused with coffee, bacon and brown
sugar came next. I took several bites analyzing over and
over if I liked it or if the sweet coffee flavor didn't belong in
my burger. Till this day I am still confused and would
probably need a whole burger to know. I'm glad I got to try
it because it was definitely something new and not many
can say they had a coffee burger.
I do wish our palates were challenged a bit more for this
event. I was able to converse with the owners after the
event and they told me they held back on putting in
different breading, cheeses, and other toppings because
they wanted to keep the standard items people liked. I was
a bit relieved to know that they had other toppings to offer
rather than the standard egg bun, american cheese,
lettuce and tomato that they used on all four burgers. So
coming up with my own creations and personal
preferences are definitely in line for a separate visit.
Overall a great night in tasting, the patties alone set this
place apart from other burger joints I've ever been to. They
went out of their way to make sure our bellies were
satisfied and the night ran smoothly. Thank you Yelp, Blue,
and the generous owners of GimmeABurger

Another awesome event... thank you Blue and thank you
Gimme A Burger.
I have to say the new check-in method went off with out a
hitch! Very nice!
After grabbing my wine, and almost forgetting my name
tag, I took a seat. Sat with some familiar faces but still
managed to wander around the room and say hello to
everyone else which was great. The two options for fries
were sitting on the table as soon as we sat so we started
munching on these immediately. The regular we're
slightly better in my opinion, but I could understand the
pepper lovers loving the spicy ones!
Wings were up next, and I'm no connoisseur so the flavors
in my mind are "lemony" and "sweet"...tough to pick a
favorite as they were both very different from each other
yet delicious.
Onion rings and sweet potato fries were also served
between the burger courses. Both hit the spot, although
we all did seem to crave a sweet dipping sauce with the
sweet potato..I guess our sweet tooths (yes that's how you
pluralize sweet tooth) were already wanting the dessert! THE BURGERS
And I must say the buns (potato bread maybe) were quite
delicious! As well as the fresh lettuce and tomato on each
burger.
*Big Single - Classic plain burger yet there was nothing
boring about it!
*Wow Burger - infused with sausage. My clear favorite of
the night.
*Mediterranean Burger - I missed whatever specialness
was infused in here since I doused mine in aioli and the
other secret sauce. It was good, but the sauces were
delish!
*Bacon Coffee Burger - anyone who knows me knows I
pretty much despise coffee. Other than the one coffee
concoction from Starbucks (which is more chocolate than
coffee) I have maybe once a year, coffee is not my thing.
So yeah, the burger...not my thing, but I'm sure the 54%
of Americans who drink coffee daily (I googled that
statistic) loved it. And finally the dessert!! A delicious vanilla shake that really
capped off the night!
The BOGO cards at the end were a nice way of ensuring
I'll be back!! Hey I still need to try the frozen custard ;)

I've had Gimme a Burger's Deerfield Beach location
bookmarked for a while now, so I was quite happy that we
were having an event at their new location in Pembroke
Pines so I could give it a try. And now, after sampling their
food, my only regret is that I hadn't tried it sooner. I'm
definitely a fan!
Upon entering, we got to pick our alcoholic beverages of
choice (I chose Bud Select, which is the only Budweiser
beer I actually like, so it's nice to see they have it on tap)
and take a seat. Two kinds of fries awaited us as we sat
down: regular and salt and pepper. I preferred the regular,
which had a good amount of seasoning. Next, we got to
sample two of their chicken wings: lemon pepper and
maple barbecue. Both were really good, and I have to say
that I wasn't expecting such good wings at a burger joint!
The owner, Serhad, came out and introduced himself and
talked a little about the concept of Gimme a Burger. For
one thing, they only use angus beef, and the higher quality
is noticeable. He said he and his family are Turkish, and
that influences how they make their burgers. I had already
been excited to try the Mediterranean burger before he
said this (I'm half-Persian, so I have a weakness for
anything Middle Eastern), but I was even more excited
after. Sure enough, that was definitely my favorite burger
of the evening. It was so flavorful, and the garlic yogurt
sauce that accompanied it was awesome. I'm absolutely
returning and trying the full size version of this burger!
I really enjoyed their classic burger as well. All of the
burgers were medium-well to well-done, while still being
juicy and not dried out, which is how you perfectly cook a
burger in my book. I abstained from the Wow burger, since
I don't eat sausage, but everyone seemed to love it. I can't
say I was a fan of the Bacon Coffee burger... but then
again, I don't drink coffee, and the coffee flavor was all I
could taste. As for the sides, the onion rings were great
(and I usually don't like the beer-battered kind), and I
LOVED their sweet potato waffle fries. I'm still new to
sweet potato fries (Blue, that's another thing you can add
to my list of things I've tried thanks to Yelp), but these
were fantastic! We ended on a sweet note with a sample of
their shakes... I tried the vanilla and just loved it.
I left here full and happy, and excited to return and try
more of their menu. In particular, their French Onion
infusion burger looks delicious, and I definitely want to try
their falafel burger as well (with more of that fabulous
yogurt sauce). Thanks so much to Serhad and all of the
staff at Gimme a Burger for a delectable evening, and of
course thanks to Blue for spoiling us all yet again :)
Midway through our feast :)

Another great event by Blue, thank you! This one was kept
a bit smaller maybe 30 ppl, it was a sit down dinner like
style which I loved. We all took our seats and the servers
brought out one dish at a time. Before each burger the
owner took the mic and told us all about that burger.
For sides we had french fries, sweet potato fries, and
onion rings. My favorite were their fries simple but good.
We were also given two types of wings one was lemon
pepper which was good but my favorite was the maple
bbq it was so tasty!
We were given 4 different burgers: cheese burger, wow
burger, Mediterranean burger, coffee Bacon burger. My
favorite hands down was the wow burger, this is a must
get! It has all beef turkish sausage, by far one of the best
burgers I've had. My second favorite was the
Mediterranean burger which was full of flavor. I did not
care for the coffee bacon burger.
I will definitely be back and get the wow burger again. I
had so much fun chatting it up and laughing with fellow
yelpers. You guys are a fun bunch!

Love the new party passes!! It makes checking in so much
simpler!
These types of events are some of my favorite because I
get to sample everything offered without feeling like I am
being a vulture around the food - and lots of food was
offered here. In celebration of the end of burger month, we
tried four different burgers, two types of chicken wings and
a few different types of fries. There were also a few
desserts passed around, which I unfortunately missed
since I walked around too much :)
I really liked that Gimme a Burger had Turkish flair,
something I've never seen in a burger place. Three of the
burgers, the WOW (sausage), Mediterranean and the
coffee burgers were very inventive. I was most intrigued by
the coffee burger, which was full of coffee flavor with a bit
of bacon in the meat. I would have preferred a little less
coffee grounds, which would have made it spectacular. My
favorite was the WOW burger, which had sausage I. The
meat blend. It was delicious.
Thank you so much Blue, Yelp and Gimme a Burger for a
great wrap up to burger month. I will definitely be coming
back!

Thank you Blue another awesome event!! You must not
sleep at night thinking of the next event and preparing ..I
know.
New way to check into an event we had to have a bar
code on our phone or printed to get in- and this will be the
norm at Yelp Events.
I think the line went by very fast, it worked.
Everyone is sitting along the wall the booth seating, and
chairs facing already had fries both regular and saltpepper variety which was my fav.
There was a DJ set up and spinning.
There was A table set up with choice of wine, or bud select
beer or sodas.
It was nice to find out they are a mom and pop restaurant
and this their second location having the grand Opening
this weekend.
We were served:
Big Single - Classic plain burger. Yum tasty not greasy,
one of my favs.
Wow Burger - infused with cured beef sausage. This was
delicious and tasty, but I don't need more sausage in my
life, so I prefer meat taste.
Mediterranean Burger- infused with onions, garlic and
parsley. My fav! I know everyone says it's their least fav! I
love gyros and Mediterranean food very much so- maybe
that's why it was my fav!
Bacon Coffee Burger - infused with coffee, bacon and
brown sugar
Yes it was a tad sweet, I thought all the flavours were not
overpowering but complimenting to a burger. I can see the
Turkish connection.
**i loved how the burger buns didn't fall apart and the
burgers weren't greasy and didn't make the bun greasy!
Thanks and real lettuce!
Plus we had samples of wings,- soo soo good these wings
were crunchy and the flavor of the one without sauce was
the winner.
We tried onion rings & sweet potato fries! Both really good!
They passed out BOGO cards to come check the place
out.
I had so much fun chatting with Yelpers it was great
everyone is so friendly.
We got to sample shakes at the end! Chose chocolate and
I loved it very chocolatey. Thank you Gimme a Burger for
your hospitality it was a great event!! I'm coming back with

Thanks Blue for having an event 5 minutes from my house!
Moving to the country is a whole lot more tolerable with
great events like this around the corner.
This strip mall didn't know what hit it! Inside was a DJ
pumping up the bass while a long line of Yelpers armed
with fancy QC VIP passes waited to get in.
What a fitting way to spend National Hamburger day!
Gimme a Burger definitely stands out from the crowd of
burger factories with it's flavor "infused" patties.
We were lucky enough to sample the following:
The original burger was very tasty - reminded me a lot of
my beloved shake shack burger with the pillow soft potato
bun and quality greens. The WOW burger was probably my favorite of the night.
This awesome burger is infused with Turkish sausage and
definitely has some nice spice/heat to it. The Mediterranean burger was also great. The parsley,
onions, and garlic infused in the meat definitely reminded
me of keftedes while the accompanying sauce was
awesome even on the fries.
The biggest surprise came from the Bacon Coffee burger.
Bacon, Coffee, and brown sugar doesn't sound like it
would be good together but somehow, some way it's
pretty damn good!
In addition to these great burgers we were also treated to
some yummy wings (Maple wings...mmmmm) and
awesome fries.
We're super psyched to check this place out again with
the kids, thanks Blue and Gimme a Burger for a great
night!

We rushed from work to get to Gimme a Burger and luckily
got 2 seats next to one another - immediately I could feel
my shoulders drop down from ear level.
Grabbing a Chardonnay and beer, we sat down and
introduced ourselves to the people at our table - what a
friendly group! It turned out that I sat next to a fellow
Yelper who had been chatting with me on Yelp for the past
few weeks...small world!
As we enjoyed the cups of French fries and individual
servings of wings, the restaurant was buzzing with
conversation and the DJ's great music. Before long Blue
introduced the owner who then described his dishes.
The servers quickly delivered trays of food - there were so
many trays of food that our table got served from both
ends. The servers made sure that no one sat waiting for
food while watching others eat - nice job! Sweet potato
waffle fries and battered onion rings were quickly
distributed to each guest so we all had hot crisp food.
Before each burger was served Blue re-introduced the
owner who then told us about the next course. We
applauded each time because he welcomed us to
experience the flavors of Turkey and we were grateful for
each delicious course. Vanilla and chocolate shakes finished out the meal - what
a feast!
This was my second Yelp event and I learned that Yelp
attracts very friendly and gracious people. I also learned
how delicious flavor 'infused' burgers can be - I enjoyed
the WOW burger most (Turkish sausage in the burger),
followed by the Coffee Bacon burger. Of the four burgers
served there wasn't a bad one in the bunch! I believe each
burger was served on potato rolls with the fresh tomato
and lettuce garnish - they were so good!
I've never eaten flavor infused burgers before nor did I
have burgers inspired by Turkish ingredients. Tonight I
found the burgers to be lezzetli infüzyon (delicious infused)
and I believe the food spoke for the restaurant staff - it
said Seni seviyoruz ('we love you' in Turkish)!
Blue, thank you for putting on another GREAT event and
for helping us to meet friendly, helpful people with whom
to trade info and discuss meeting for dinner! I am learning
that Yelp is so much more than a site to write/read
reviews! Thanks

This was a really cool event for several reasons. One, the
new party pass to check in (very cool) was simple to use.
Two, who doesn't love burgers?! Three, who knew the
owners were Turkish and made "infusion burgers"?! And
even better for me they have a location in Deerfield which
is super close to my house! Sadly, I have driven past it
many times because like others have mentioned it is right
near Charmed City burgers. After this event I will no longer
make that mistake and here is why...the burgers were
pretty awesome!
Everyone listed all the food and burgers but here is what
stood out for me. The Fries were great, perfectly
seasoned and crispy as well as the onion rings. The
wings...now I am super picky about my wings. Both
flavors were great (lemon pepper and a sweet bbq) but the
lemon and garlic was my favorite. They were crispy and
juicy on the inside. Out of the 4 burgers we got to try my
hands down favorite was the WOW Burger that had
chunks of sausage infused inside that you could actually
see in the meat. If you added the spicy sauce they gave
us it was SO GOOD!!!! The plain big single was great and
the Mediterranean burger was ok too not as amazing to
me as it was to others. The coffee burger has potential. I
think adding a slice of bacon to cut the strong coffee flavor
would help a lot because I didn't taste bacon or brown
sugar but it was cool to try. Gimmie a Burger was a great host - THANK YOU!!! The
staff was very friendly and worked fast to clear tables,
bring out food and basically tended to anything we needed
with a big smile. The location is really nice and it felt like
they should always have a DJ playing inside of the
restaurant, LOL.
THANK YOU BLUE!! Great event and awesome way to
end burger month!

I'm so happy Broward is more and more offering us an
incredible variety of really cool and great eateries to try
and Gimme a Burger offered us an incredible night to show
off what they have in store.
The evening started with Blue greeting us and leading us
inside to get our tags, drinks, and get to our seats.
Everybody was pretty excited to try our host's "infusions"!
I started by drinking red wine to set the tone of the
evening, and as soon we were seated warm, crunchy, salt
and peppered French fries were waiting for us on our
tables and it tasted delicious! Next they served their
chicken wings, which were well seasoned and not overly
greasy.
The first burger served was the classic and I've got to say
that it was flavorful and juicy. We also tried their sweet
potato fries that were good as well, but my favorites were
the French fries with the extra pepper that made it taste
incredibly good.
The second infusion served was the Wow burger with
cured sausage that had the good combination of sausage
and beef and it also tasted very good.
The third infusion was my favorite, the Mediterranean
burger was so rich in taste due to its combination of garlic,
onions, and parsley that made my taste buds jump up high
of happiness!
The last infusion was the Coffee burger, it had of course
coffer, bacon, and brown sugar. It was an interesting
combination, not my favorite, but if you like to try new
flavors it is definitely worth doing it.
The evening sadly ended with us saying our good byes,
Blue scored another successful and great event in his
book, and all of us eager Yelpers were very happy to again
take part in such great event. Thanks again Blue for
another special event, and thank you also to Gimme a
burger for the great infusions they put together.
Happy Yelpers!

Delicious French fries were already on the table waiting for
us when we sat down. They were so good that I couldn't
stop eating them. Next came chicken wings. I don't
usually order chicken wings because a lot of restaurants
undercook them. These were perfect. The two different
sauces on the wings were delicious. After that came
sweet potato fries and onion rings which were so tasty,
and not a bit greasy. Next we got to try four different
hamburgers. I still can't decide which one I liked best. I
think I'll have to try them all again. The hamburger buns
were soft and fresh and really added to the taste of the
burgers. We got to wash it all down with red wine, beer,
and sodas. The evening ended with a sample of their
vanilla milkshake. Everything was so delicious. There
wasn't one thing I didn't like .
The music was great and added to the upbeat feeling. It
was wonderful to see old friends and meet new ones. We
got to talk about where we've been and new places to try.
Now I have a list of new places to bookmark.
Thank you to the cooks and all the great servers who
brought us the food and kept the tables cleared. Thank
you to the owner of Gimme A Burger for the great food and
hospitality. I wish you good luck with this new restaurant.
I'm looking forward to going to your location in Deerfield

Welcomed to Gimme A Burger's 2nd location by the owner
(family owned and operated).... And who knew there was
a Turkish connection!?!?! As a mater of fact, in addition to the turkish background...
I have never tried Gimme A Burger... what's even worse is
me admitting I live just a couple miles away from the
Deerfield location.
Truth be known (and I'm sure I'm not the first person to
make this statement) their other location is right by Charm
City and as a "former" fan of Charm City burgers I never
bothered to try Gimme A Burger (apparently I was very
content with my former love).
Burgers fell off my radar and I still frequent Charm City but
I only order chicken sandwiches and I don't care for their
burgers anymore (over sauced and greasy patties)... I
don't currently have a "go-to" fast burger place... Until
now.....
Tonight's burger line up:
BIG SINGLE--- I was pleasantly pleased with this burger;
simple but it was nice to not have tons of sauce dripping
out and a soggy patty like so many burger spots
WOW BURGER-- great taste... which is from the spicy
european sausage they mix with the beef to crest what
may be my new "go-to" burger
MEDITERRANEAN BURGER--- not a fan, but perhaps not
their fault; I just have a hard time accepting
mediterranean flavors/seasonings as a burger
BACON COFFEE BURGER-- this is the one I was looking
forward to..... the beef patty was infused with coffee bacon
and brown sugar to crest a very interesting smell and
taste; initially anyway... I couldn't eat the 2 pieces I
sampled; it was just too over-powering... great concept
but I think flavor needs to be toned down a bit
As if the burgers weren't generous enough, Gimme A
Burger also fed us wings (excellent), fries, sweet potato
waffle fries, onion rings, soda, wine, beer and milk shakes.
It's shitty of me to complain (especially after all we've
been given) but I wish we would've been given one of their
"alternatives" to beef burgers (turkey burger, falafel burger
or vegetarian burger)... but I'm happy nonetheless
Wonderfully friendly.... Thanks much Gimme A Burger for
the treats and good time
Thanks Mr Blue for sharing your name with my late fish
(RIP Blue the fish) and assisting in making my new belt fit a
wee but tighter (good food with good people).

Wow! Yet another great BPB Yelp Event! It was, I think, our
first to use of the bar coded party pass. I confess, that for
me it initially pushed my limits of computer technology due
in part to the failure of my ISP to properly recognize
Yelp.com emails, but with a little Yelp help from my
friends, ended up working out pretty slick, readily moving
the event entry line along.
As always, the best was being with my fellow Yelpers,
those that I've known over the years plus getting to meet,
greet and see some of the newer members of the Yelp
community. I've always found it such delight and pleasure
to actually meet the person behind the computer
keyboards, a matter which sets Yelp above and apart from
other social or semi-social networks.
On this event we were treated not only to our choices of
drinks, being beer, wine or non-alcoholic (I don't indulge in
non-alcoholic as at old age what's left of my body requires
the intake of drinks with pickling or preservative values),
plus a sampling of what hit me as being of maple-lemonpepper flavor base of chicken wings and a sampling
variety of burgers. We started off with a taste of the typical
American burger consisting of a fresh ground certified
Angus beef, then on to their unique and award winning
"Gimme Infusion Burgers," one of which was the "Wow,"
being a delightful blended infusion burger mixed with
cured all beef sausage. Then, also a turkey burger of
infused Caribbean jerk, and taste treat surprise of a
"Bacon Coffee Burger" having a delightfully distinct to the
taste infusion of coffee, bacon and brown sugar. Hmmm?
I think I may have skipped over one of the samples (the
Mediterranean?) but though I can't recall its exact name,
remember it being both unique in flavor as well as equally
delicious.
Other samplings in the offerings presented were fries,
French and kettle, along with a tangy custom in-house
sauce, great not only as a burger topping but also as
dipping sauce for my fries, though I don't think that was its
intended purpose.
Being a sit down table served event, everything move
along without a hitch thanks to one of the most efficient
wait staffs one might ever encounter.
Gimme A Burger really did us well, introduced us all to the
unique tastes of burger infusion and Blue, as always, had
everything and every detail organized to perfection.
So, thank you Gimme A Burger for introducing me to
infusion burgers and thank you Blue for organizing and
pulling off yet another perfectly orchestrated Yelp Event.

Party Pass on hand (yes, BPB is fancy now with QR
Barcodes guest list) I entered the new location of Gimme a
Burger.
I thought the name sounded familiar and realized they have
a Deerfield location closer to me, which I will check out
soon, and this is why...
We started with perfectly seasoned, addictive fries. We
could not stop eating them but forced ourselves to
because their burgers and other samplings of their menu
awaited us. They served us two different sauced chicken wings... one
was sweet and tangy (my favorite), and the other one was
lemony. Both really good.
They came out with sweet potato waffle fries - who can
say no to those? Then the burgers started coming out:
1. First was the classic burger, you can't go wrong with
that one. An all-time favorite, simple, and flavorful.
2. Wow burger - was a sausage burger. Good but if you
are not a fan of sausage stay away... the flavor and texture
is prominent
3. Mediterranean burger - definitely the one I will order
next time I'm there. This one is Infused w/onions, garlic,
parsley making it taste a little lighter than the other,
especially with their garlic yogurt sauce they server on the
side. Try it, it gives the burger a whole new level of taste
4. Last one was the coffee burger. Yes, you can taste the
coffee...
As if that wasn't enough they gave us our choice of wine
(red or white), beer, or sodas to drink and ended the night
with a delicious vanilla shake.
The staff was amazing! They served us, always with a
smile, made sure our table weren't cluttered with empty
plates or glasses, came to our tables regularly to make
sure we were enjoying the event, and even gave us a
discount card for the next time we are there. We were a fairly large group of yelpers and they
accommodated all of us. We all were seated in big tables
(about 8 per table), and with this kind of set up got to talk a
little more and even meet some newcomers, and "catch
up" with our friends.
Gimme a Burger, thank you for hosting and wish Good
Luck in this new location.
Blue, thank you for another great event and celebrating
(your so dear) Burger Month with us!

What a fantastic CMYE for Burger Month! ~ For those of
you too young to remember this quote, it is from the
cartoon "Popeye the Sailor Man". One particular character,
"Wimpy", would often utter this phrase. ~ "I'll gladly repay
you Tuesday, for a hamburger today". ~ Well this isn't the
case because you do what to be able to purchase your
burger today from Gimme-A-Burger.
Being my first event, I had know idea what to expect. ~
Well everything worked like a fine tuned Swiss watch.
"Blue" you have out done yourself, from the follow-up
emails, the use of QRc images, live entrainment and
having a very friendly group of Yelpers that made you feel
right at home.
As we entered the establishment, we where greeted by
Gimme-A-Burger employees, directed to get a name
badge, asked if we would like a drink (alcoholic or nonalcoholic) and we seated ourself at any table available.
Where we immediately received a two cups of hot crispy
crunch french fries (regular and spicy flavored) that cooked
to perfection.
"Blue" made his introductions of the owner of Gimme-ABurger and we learned that this was a "Soft Opening" of
their second location and a little about his thought process
behind his culinary delights that we were going to be
sampling.
~ Chicken Wings (lemon pepper and maple barbecue
flavors)
~ Burgers (all served with a juicy ripe red tomato with
crispy lettuce on top)
~ ~ Big Single - a classic plain cheese burger
~ ~ Wow Burger - my favorite - with sausage mixed into
the beef
~ ~ Mediterranean Burger - Infused with spices that
reminded of my adventures in Turkey with garlic yogurt
sauce on the side (... a nice touch that can also be used to
dip your french fries into ...)
~ ~ Bacon Coffee Burger - a creation of infused coffee into
the meat and a piece of crispy strip bacon on top
~ Sweet Potato Waffle Fries - I am a fan of sweet potatoes
fries but they could have used a side of "marshmallow"
dipping sauce to bring out even more flavor
~ Onion Rings - thickly battered
~ Milkshakes
~~ Chocolate - like a sipping a piece of chocolate mousse
~~ Vanilla - that tasted like old fashion custard ice cream
Serves was impeccable and the restaurant ambiance, very
warm.
Thank you Gimme-A-Burger for inviting us into your home
and best wishes on your new endeavor.
Cheers!

So first of all, thank you Blue for introducing me to burger
month. I never knew there was a month dedicated to
burgers. Now that I do know, May just got that much
better. [insert 'its gonna be may' justin timberlake meme]
Yelpers gathered at "Gimme a Burger" and this location is
not even open to the public yet. After we smoothly
checked in with our party passes, we started with wine
and beer. I knew this was going to be quite the party when
I saw the DJ set up (albeit Youtube-ing) and what better
way to sample burgers than with good music and in the
company of good people.
The food was plentiful. My favorite burger was the WOW
burger. I liked the kick from the Turkish sausage. Of course
everyone was curious about the bacon coffee burger. I'm
still deciding on this one. The coffee flavor was dominant
but also sweet and spicy (not tabasco spicy, but pantry
spices). Let's just say there was a lot going on. We also sampled fries (regular and salt/pepper seasoned),
sweet potato waffle fries, chicken wings, and onion rings.
You know, for a burger place, they made pretty solid
chicken wings. I couldn't decide which one I liked better. I
think I ate my way through 1.5 trays of sweet potato waffle
fries--I definitely have a weak spot for sweet potato.
When the eating was over, we devised ways to get Blue to
come to the after party. In case anyone is wondering,
kidnapping Ros will not work.
A big thank you to Gimme a burger for being gracious
hosts. I like that they are family owned and still have a
small business feel. The staff was great and constantly
cleared our table.
Last but not least thank you Blue for all the hard work you
do to put these events together.

Love the new BARCODE check-in; it's like we're all hightech... nice work Yelp !
We arrived a few minutes late and I was so relieved to get
two of the last seats left... and it was nice to have some
elites by us that I didn't know all that well. So nice getting
to know Heather and Paul M and a few others
Who can say no to chicken wings and french fries; not
me... the perfect samples to start off with. Then came the
good stuff, BURGERS
Burger 1 was my favorite: just a simple Traditional Burger
with american cheese
Burger 2 was the WOW Burger which had tons of flavor
which came from the infused european sausage that was
mixed in; very tasty burger
Burger 3 was a Mediterranean Burger; it was infused with
mediterranean seasonings and it was good.
Burger 4 was the Coffee Bacon Burger and it was the one
that everyone seemed to want to try. Seems everyone
either loved it or hated it; Unfortunately I didn't love it.
That's not to say I didn't love some of the other options.
Along with the burgers we had some waffle cut sweet
potato fries and onion rings... both very good.
They also gave us some sauce but honestly I wasn't sure if
it was for one of the burgers or for the onion rings or the
sweet potato fries... either way the sauce was great. And
the milkshake we sampled was a great finishing touch.
Thanks Gimme A Burger and Blue for a great night out.

Great way to Wrap-up Burger Month!!
I have passed by Gimme A Burger in Deerfield several
times and have never stopped by to try the food. Thanks
to this event I have found a new lunch spot.
First Stop: Check-in with our Party Pass! Super cool
addition to the check-in process.
Second Stop: Name Badge and booze! I started off with
red wine but we there was white wine, beer and fountain
drinks.
The music was awesome! Had us singing along. Great DJ!
I loved how organized Gimme A Burger was. Right off the
bat we had fries waiting for us at the tables. We were
introduced to the owner and then the food started flowing.
Chicken Wings: My favorite was the lemon pepper wing. I
have a weakness for lemon and I could have eaten dozens
of these wings. The other wing was good too. It was
sweet.
Sweet Potato fries: Addicting and delicious!
Burger time!!
Big Single: You can never go wrong with the classic
burger. When taking a bite I noticed the buns were a bit
toasted. Love it! It was delicious.
Wow Burger: This was something new for me. You could
see the little chunks of beef sausage. It was pretty good.
Mediterranean Burger: I would have to say this one was by
fav. Very flavorful.
Bacon Coffee Burger: Now this I had never heard of! I am
not much of a coffee lover but I had to give this a try. It
was interesting. You can literally taste the coffee!
The waiters were so friendly and on top of things! They
made us feel super comfortable. I loved this event! Thanks
Blue for a fun event! Gimme A Burger- I shall see you very
soon!!

Yelp events are never a disappointment! Instead of
outlining what happened, since everyone else has done
that already, I'll list what I loved:
1. QR scan to enter. We're technology cool now!
2. Drinks upon entry, & fries waiting at our table. Both
types were perfectly seasoned.
3. Wings served hot & fresh.
4. Onion rings & sweet potato fries were amazing.
5. Burger time! My fave was the WOW burger. I'll def come
back for that. It's mind-blowing how all the burgers looked
the same, but each packed a different flavor.
6. Yummy milkshake to finish up.
Ok, that was kind of an outline, but I guess that shows
how much I enjoyed everything last night! As always, I
leave happy & full.
This location is literally 2mins from me, so I am sure I'll be
back. Thanks, Blue, for introducing me to this new and
unique burger spot! And thanks to Gimme-a-Burger
owners & staff for great food & service!

I'm not sure why we only have one burger month when we
have 12 months?
ANYWAY, I love Broward events. There is just something
about them, whether the event is big or small, you really
feel like you get to see and mingle with everyone (even if
for a second). The people are just great. They'll take you
down if you try to take their food, but that's another story...
I love burgers so having a burger event is right up my alley.
Gimme a Burger was a great spot to try a few infused
burgers and a few other treats.
The sides:
Fries- I mean, can fries be bad? These were great.
Onion Rings- see the statement above.
The wings- the sweet and tangy one's were off the chain.
You can keep the lemon flavored one.
The burgers
BIG SINGLE--- It was a simple cheese burger, but the
flavor was really full. I noticed instantly how good their
buns were too.
WOW BURGER-- I looked at it thinking, "this looks just like
the last one". When I bit into it I was completely wrong. So
much flavor. The infusion of the sausage was perfect. a
10/10/
MEDITERRANEAN BURGER--- Great seasoning. Not
blown away, but probably because I liked the previous
burger that much.
BACON COFFEE BURGER-- In theory this is sounds like
it's going to be the Justin Timberlake of burgers. It's
everything you want, biting into it made it more like the
Justin Bieber of burgers. All over the place and messy.
You couldn't taste the bacon. I was really let down.
3 out of 4 is great.
The desserts were good. The owners were so nice. The
staff was very attentive and I think everyone, per usual,
had an amazing time. I will definitely go to Gimme a Burger
during my weekend travels.
Thank you Blue for another great experience in BPB.

Another great event, courtesy of Blue & his wonderful
team! It's a brand new burger place, located on Flamingo
Road in Pembroke Pines. We were checked in with a new
QR scan through our phones, which made the checking in
part a breeze. We were given our name tags & the option
Show all
to choose to drink beer/wine, or fountain drinks at the
soda machine. I was happy to say that we were seated
next to a very entertaining group! These events are meant
for us to mingle, and we had a great time. Ok, so let's get
on to the fun part: FOOD!
For starters, we had fries ready for us to try, and they were
every bit of awesome. They were perfectly crisp & non
greasy, which is hard to find nowadays. I also liked that
there was coarse salt & pepper on them. It gave the fries a
better taste. We were also given wings to try before the
burgers came out, and one was sweet & the other salty.
The salty wing had way too much lemon pepper
seasoning on it. I did enjoy the sweet wing, and i liked that
none of them were overcooked. We had a good selection
of burgers to try: First was the american single burger,
which is your basic burger, but on a egg bread, i believe.
It gave it a nice, smooth taste & did not disappoint. Next
was the WOW burger, which definitely Wowed me!! It was
infused with sausage & was just perfection in a bun. It had
some cumin & spices that gave it a flavorful taste. We
then moved on to the Meditteranean Burger, which i
particularly didn't find anything different from the last two,
so it was just ok to me. I was also bummed that i didn't
get to try the garlic yogurt dip, as it flew! I heard it was
amazing! Last burger to try was the Bacon Coffee Burger,
which i'm sure if i was a coffee connoisseur, i'd really
appreciate it. We were also given dessert, which was a
real treat! It was in the form of a milkshake, and it was so
yummy!! I'm happy that we were able to come out to this
annual burger event, and the fact that it was so close by
was an added bonus!!

Acelyn B and I were on time! It helps that we are not too
from this venue. Like. We could've walked to get there. In
hindsight, a little exercise might've been handy with all the
food there was to be had.
I liked that it was a sit-down event. None of the vulturing to
try what's being served. The format guaranteed us to try
everything. We started with the wings. I'm a huge fan of
lemon pepper wings so I was immediately hooked.
However, the glazed wings were very pleasing. I almost
wanted to take the offer for seconds. I refused, knowing
that there was much more to be had.
The stars of the show, naturally, were the burgers though.
We tried their regular cheeseburger, the wow burger, the
mediterranean, and the bacon coffee burger. I immediately
took note of how delightful the buns were. Potato rolls, I
believe. I also took note of how similar all the burgers
looked, yet how different each one tasted. Well done GAB.
The patties were cooked nicely. My fav for the night might
have been the WOW burger.
I certainly enjoyed yet another fantastic event hosted by
our superb CM, Blue. and now I have some more Yelp
friends in Cristina and Anthony W. as well as Rachele and
Khary S. Cheers!

IT'S HAMBURGMANIA, For those of you who like real
hamburgers this is the place to eat and the event was as
good as the burgers. There was Blue at the door trying out
his new Florida pass admit system, I was a good to go.
The fries were spicy and just cooked right. My favorite was
the coffee burger with the hing of coffee and the smell to
go with it, and another was the burger mixed with sausage
just how I make my meatballs. As we ate , talked, and
texted we had a DJ spinning the music. No it is not the Ritz
but a great place to get a hamburger but try something
new, go for the wild side in you. A special thanks to Blue
and his crew for all their work and time to make this a
good event.

Grand Opening, grand burgers and grand new friends.
This was a particularly enjoyable evening. Getting to be
one of the first to try a new venue and their obviously novel
lineup of burgers and fries. (I had way more fries than I
should have but the peppery ones were quite good and
how can you turn down sweet potato fries?)
My favorite burger of the evening was the sausage burger.
Anything with a bit of glow as it passes where the tonsils
were is a joy to begin with. Add the sausage flavor and
you have a winner.
The other memorable burger for the evening was the
coffee burger. I love coffee so this was a natural.. I did
make the mistake of putting on it one of the creamy
sauces that had been distributed just prior to its arrival. I
don't think it was intended to go with that particular
burger. (I saw the owner talking about the sauces but
hearing was out of the question.)
Another highlight of the evening was meeting and talking
with Leah T and John T from Miami (no relation to Johnny
T). If only we had met them many years ago. They are
from here and would vacation in Colorado for the skiing.
We are from Colorado and would vacation here for the
scuba diving. Oh well, we met them and enjoyed their
stories. A pleasant exclamation point for the evening.
Thank you Gimme A Burger and thank you Blue for
another outstanding event.

So, Gimme a Burger comes to the neighborhood with a
Turkish background? Hmm. Who woulda thought, huh!
This is what I'm talking about. Yelp helps bring the
community together once again to showcase the newly
opened establishments that many of us have not even a
slight clue about. For most of us, we thought it was just an
ordinary burger joint that popping up everywhere with a
different name.
The CMYEs are perfect for these businesses. It actually
helps them strive and get their name out there through
word of mouth and through promoting itself in its early
stages in such events like this one.
Blue, along with the staff and owners of Gimme a Burger,
thank you for your generosity and hard work in putting
such a great gathering of a community of foodies into one
place.
The staff's hospitality was wonderful, from beginning to
end and made sure that everyone was able to grab a bite
and be able to at least try everything.
Gimme a Burger sure stands out with its "infusion"
concept. Browsing through their menu, I've noticed
everything on it is infused. But more than anything, the
food has a Turkish influence in the way they season and
mix their burger meat. By far, the one that stood out the
most is the "WOW" burger. As they passed it around, I
heard everyone, not one was missed...after taking their
first bite, all I can hear is "WOW!" Bite after bite. It was
almost like a wave of wows around the table.
CMYEs. They are a great way to get cozy and intimate with
your fellow Yelp community and sharing a bite or two and
discussing along the way likes and dislikes, also mingle
amongst the group and learn things about one and
another.
THUMBS UP Blue and Gimme a Burger, you sure earned
our business for the next come around when we are
looking to grab a burger...keep up the good work and way
to go in putting your business out their for such a
wonderful promotion!

A perfect ending for a month of celebrating the allAmerican food, the hamburger.
There's nothing I like much better than a tasty burger and
we got to try four different ones! The traditional burger
was great, but I like the more unusual. I was surprised by
the degree of coffee flavor in the coffee, bacon infused
burger. The first bite caused my brain to say, "Well....that
was weird," then the second bite said, "But I like it!"
Admittedly, the coffee kinda obscured the bacon, but
that's actually okay, I've had a lot of bacon burgers. My
favorite was the sausage infused burger, smoky and
savory. I did make a tactical error when I tried the garlic
sauce on my first bite of the Mediterranean burger,
because it made it harder to taste the meat. That just
gives me an excuse to go back and correct my mistake.
I seem to be moving backwards, oh well. Before the
burgers we we treated to two kinds of wings and three
kinds of fries. All of them were perfectly cooked. The best
bite, always goes to sweet potato fries, LOL. I will admit to
a certain amount of bias.
I didn't get to try the vanilla shake, but the chocolate one
was the perfect decadent end to the meal.
The waitstaff did an impeccable job of keeping things
moving at a perfect pace. They couldn't have been any
more attentive. Special thanks to the owner for giving us a
private, sneak peek at the new establishment. I doubt that
it will ever be that easy to get in again.
And of course, a rousing round of applause to our fuzzy,
fearless leader. The new expedited check-in process
made it easier than ever for our flawlessly planned evening.
I can't wait to find out what is next!

What a great way to wrap up "burger month" and
celebrate "National Burger Day!"
Before we all went in, everyone got checked in using the
new fancy "party passes" that make us Yelpers even
cooler!
As soon as we got into the restaurant we were greeted
with a choice of either glasses of wine (red or white), beer
and soda. I grabbed some wine, took a seat and was
handed cups of piping hot fries before the burgers started
coming out. There were a couple different varieties of fries
that came out (the cracked pepper and sea salt were really
good but a tad spicy since there was a ton of pepper on
them), waffle cut sweet potato fries and onion rings. Sweet
potato fries are always my favorite and these didn't
disappoint. The wings we got to try were lemon pepper
and a sweet BBQ. Lemon pepper isn't my all time favorite
flavor so I preferred the BBQ. Both were tasty though!
After the wings we got down to business! Starting off the
burger sampler with a classic followed by a "Wow" infused
burger with sausage in it, a Mediterranean burger with a
garlic yogurt sauce, and ending with the bacon coffee
infused burger. The "wow" burger was definitely my
favorite. The sausage just elevated the burger to the next
level of flavor and something I've never had anywhere else
before. Then again I've never really had any of the gourmet
burgers anywhere else, so it was exciting to try so many
new burgers! The Mediterranean burger was good but I
think it was basically the garlic yogurt sauce that really
made it. I'm a big sauce person, especially if it's a garlic
sauce, so this was my second favorite. The coffee burger
was quite interesting because I've never thought of
infusing a burger with coffee before. For me I think there is
a reason I've never had a coffee flavored burger,
apparently I'm not a big fan of burgers with coffee infused
into them. However I'm always up for trying new tastes so
it was great to try something a little out of the box. Ending
the meal with chocolate and vanilla shakes was the best
part. Interestingly I thought the chocolate shake was kind
of like a Wendy's frosty and preferred the vanilla one.
I've never heard of Gimme A Burger before this event, but
I'm glad Blue introduced me to this cool burger joint!
Thanks Blue and Gimme A Burger for such a fantastic
event!

So the event gets 5 stars because Blues the man and he
always puts on a great event. Now let's get to the burgers
at gimmie a burger. First off let me say that these people
seem to genuinely care about the quality of their burger
and what people think of them, the infuse their burgers
with quality ingredients & some Turkish swag. The original
burger was my favorite good quality taste cooked just
right. They had some other interesting choices that they
rolled out but for my money the classic is king. I also
recommended their secret sauce and onion rings it's on
point! All n All great event and a fun night best of luck to

This event was really fun! The food was incredible. After
we checked in, we grabbed a drink and picked a place to
sit to enjoy the food! When we first sat down they had fries
in a cup waiting for us to try! These fries were yummy
perfect with salt seasoning! Next came out 2 wings a
lemon pepper one and maybe a sweet BBQ flavor one,
that one was my favorite! Then we got to try sweet potato
waffle fries.... Boy were they yummy, they just needed
some marshmallow dip to top it off! Then they brought out
these delicious onion rings as well. Nice and crispy but not
too greasy! I loved them! They gave us four samples of
burgers to try! The first was the was the BIG SINGLE this
was just a plain burger but quite yummy! The WOW
BURGER came out next and this burger had cured beef
sausage inside which I enjoyed a lot, this was my second
favorite burger! Next they brought out the
MEDITERRANEAN BURGER which was made with onions,
garlic, and parsley! This by far was my favorite burger of
the night!!! Then they served us the last burger which was
the BACON COFFEE BURGER, now I was excited to try
this burger I liked it the least! To much coffee flavored,
couldn't taste the bacon in it, and was to spicy for my
liking! Next came dessert! They served chocolate and
vanilla frozen custard! I had the chocolate which tasted so
good would have been better if they added strawberries or
bananas to it, maybe something they could think of adding
to it! But none of the less the chocolate shake/custard was
very good, and I heard the vanilla was just as good! They
had a DJ playing music which was fun to listen to,
although it was pretty loud in there! Would like to thank
Blue for putting this event together over all the food was
incredible and I found out they have a chain in Deerfield
which is much closer to home! I will def go check out
gimme a burger in Deerfield. I'll be coming back for that
Mediterranean burger and a shake and those fries and
onion rings lol. Ok maybe I should just order the whole
menu! Come check this place out, you won't be
disappointed!
