omb hair so it is tangle-free, and split hair
into three parts: right, left and middle

Hold the power button for a few seconds to turn

elect the heat setting depending on hair type.

Place the roller into the center of the pod.

W
hen secure, the pod will beep again and light up
in orange. After a few seconds, the pod will beep 4
times and the light will turn red, which indicates that
the rollers are ready to use for styling.

R
emove the roller using the plastic cool tip on the
ends, avoiding the flocked surface which will be hot.
When the roller is removed, the pod will beep once
again and the light will turn blue, indicating it is ready
to use again.

T
he sound of the pod can be muted by holding down
the power button for a few seconds. To switch the
sound back on, press and hold the power button
again for a few seconds.

t the end of each roller there is a temperature
indicator which turns red when the roller is hot and
ready to use.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
CAUTION!
The heating rods of the appliance become very hot during
operation. Do not touch the heating rods. Always handle
the heated rollers by the rims at the ends. The other parts
of the rollers are hot. Take care to avoid direct contact
between the hot surfaces and the skin of the face and
neck. The Rollers will be hot when removed from the base.
Never place the roller on a heat sensitive surface. Only use
the heated rollers on dry hair.

MAINTENANCE
Daily Maintenance: For the safe use of the appliance, check the following daily:
• Check the cord and surface of the cord. Never use if any parts are cracked, split,
torn or damaged.
• Check the plug and never use if it is cracked, split or damaged.
• Check the plug pins and never use if transformed or damaged.
• Check the controller and do not use if cracked, split, broken or damaged.
• When not in use, clean and dry the entire appliance and store in a cool, dry place.
• When ready to use, follow the operating instructions.
Daily Cleaning: To keep the appliance clean, unplug it from the power source, and
once the appliance is cool, wipe it down after each use with a hot, damp towel.
WARNING: Do not wipe the appliance with thinner, benzene, gasoline, lamp oil, and
other solvents or chemicals, as that may cause accidents or malfunction and may
damage the appliance and void the warranty.
Defects and Malfunction:
• Read all contents of the warranty completely and carefully before contacting the
salon, the distributor, or our Paul Mitchell® Pro Tools™ Warranty Center.
• John Paul Mitchell Systems® is not responsible for damage caused by misuse or
due to operator accidents, such as dropping the appliance on the floor.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
The appliance has reached your selected temperature when it beeps 4 times and
the pod turns red. Simultaneously, the end of each roller also has a temperature
indicator which turns red when the roller is hot and ready to use. Once you have
finished styling, turn off and unplug the appliance. This appliance has a polarized
plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit into a
polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit securely, reverse the plug. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety
feature.
The appliance should NEVER be stored while hot or while still connected to the
electrical supply. Always ensure the appliance is switched off, unplug from the
electrical supply and has cooled down completely before storing all components.
WARRANTY GUIDE
IMPORTANT: Warranty valid only when appliance is purchased from an authorized
PAUL MITCHELL® salon or distributor. Terms and conditions may vary depending on
salon/authorized retailer’s individual exchange or return policy.
LIMITED 12 MONTH WARRANTY
Our 12 month warranty covers tools within the U.S. (Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico and
Continental U.S.) and Canada only, and only when purchased from an authorized
PAUL MITCHELL® salon or distributor.
The Paul Mitchell® Pro Tools™ warranty covers the appliance against defects in
material or workmanship for 12 months from date of purchase. Sorry, no refunds
will be given.
1. WITH PROOF OF PURCHASE AND WITHIN 12 MONTHS
Exchange or repair of defective appliance is at Paul Mitchell’s discretion. If your
Paul Mitchell® Pro Tools™ appliance fails to operate properly within the 12 month
warranty period, consumers can return the appliance to the salon where it was
purchased (terms and conditions may vary depending on salon/authorized retailer’s
individual exchange or return policy) and stylists can return it to their distributor,
making sure to bring the original proof of purchase.
Otherwise, you may send your appliance, postage paid, along with completed
Warranty/Repair Request, your proof of purchase and money order or credit card
information for $14.00 (USD) payable to Paul Mitchell® Pro Tools™ Warranty
Center to cover repair, shipping, handling and insurance back to you. However, if the
defective appliance is being returned from Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Canada,
make sure to call our Help Line at 1-888-522-8622 before sending anything. Sorry,
checks are not accepted.
If tool is registered, 12 months is automatically extended to 24 months.
2. WITH PROOF OF PURCHASE AND AFTER 12 MONTHS
If your Paul Mitchell® Pro Tools™ appliance fails after the 12 month warranty
period, you still can have your appliance repaired. From the Continental U.S., send
the appliance, postage paid, along with the completed Warranty/Repair Request,
your proof of purchase and money order or credit card information for $35.00 (USD)
payable to Paul Mitchell® Pro Tools™ Warranty Center to cover repair, shipping,
handling and insurance back to you. However, if the defective appliance is
being returned from Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico or Canada, make sure to call
our Help Line at 1-888-522-8622 before sending anything. Sorry, checks are not
accepted.
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OBLIGATIONS, OR LIABILITIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT
LIMITED TO THE IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A
PARTICULAR PURPOSE, SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE 12 MONTH DURATION OF THIS
WRITTEN LIMITED WARRANTY.
IN NO EVENT SHALL JOHN PAUL MITCHELL SYSTEMS® BE LIABLE FOR ANY
SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES FOR BREACH OF THIS OR
ANY OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED, WHATSOEVER.
This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights,
which may vary from state to state both in the USA and Canada.
If tool is registered, 12 months is automatically extended to 24 months.
THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER
Normal wear and tear, which includes, but is not limited to, housing scratches,
shorts or cuts in the power supply cord or plug. Damage due to misuse and abuse
such as: Dropping, wrong voltage supply, neglecting safety precautions. Tampering,
such as repair or attempted repair by unauthorized party. Neglect or lack of proper
maintenance. Damage to cord: Do not wrap the cord around the appliance as it can
result in the cord breaking.
PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT IMPROPER USE OR MAINTENANCE OF YOUR APPLIANCE
CAN RESULT IN DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR PERSONAL INJURY INCLUDING GREAT
