They say the 400 refugee children living in the socalled Jungle camp in Calais, France, meet the rules to be allowed into the UK. They handed the list of children to the Government and said Britain should quickly accept them. Many of the children are said to have family already in Britain. First News went to visit the camp last Friday with UNICEF. We saw young children wandering around alone who have a right to be in Britain because of by editor in chief Nicky Cox their close family links here. The campaign group Citizens UK says there are 800 children without an adult to care for them among 7,000 refugees living in the Calais camp. A crowd of about 150 people gathered outside the Home Office in London, urging the Government to immediately bring over those stranded children. They said that, whatever people think about Brexit, or the EU, it had nothing to do with Britain offering safety to children fleeing war and violence. Many of them are running away from the conflict in Syria.
