For the six weeks of Lent, we will explore what it means to give up some of the attitudes that limit our lives. Have you ever
considered the way fear, resentment, hurry, control, or our personal agendas limit our lives? What might it look like to
surrender these postures to God and begin to live freely and love deeply, unhindered by these attitudes? Join us for our
Lenten sermon series as we explore how to give up in order to root ourselves more deeply in Christ.
Take Root
Curious About Take Root?
The congregation is at the beginning of a two-year initiative to Root, Grow, and Extend for the sake of others. What does that
mean? How can you participate? For more information, check out the Take Root website at www.takerootccob.org.

Generosity
If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how
can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with
actions and in truth.
-1 John 3:17-18

Grow
Join One of Our Giving Up Lenten Groups
Weeks of March 5-April 9| Small Groups or Campus Group on Wednesday
This past fall, we experienced a great movement of community and group life through our Take Root Series. We invite our
congregation to journey together again in small groups during Lent. Giving Up is a series that seeks to go beyond the
traditional sacrifices to explore the unnoticed places in our lives that limit us from living fully into who God is calling us to be.
We are asking everyone to join us for this 6-week study, by joining one of our small groups or the Wednesday night campus
group, as we embark on a life-changing journey leading into Easter.

Is It Alzheimer's or Dementia | March 16
Join Natalie McFarland, a certified Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care Trainer, as she explains the benefit of having an accurate
