Students will complete the preliminary unit on basic Spanish vocabulary such as colors, numbers, the alphabet, and weather as well as “small talk” conversation vocabulary such as greetings, leave-takings, and introductions. Students will also complete the all about me unit, which focuses on describing yourself and expressing likes and dislikes. Sixth graders will study the geography of Spanish-speaking countries around the world as well as the Hispanic culture of the United States.
