also applies to each of us as it is this same spirit that directs and inspires us and
urges us onwards to do great things for the Lord.
Today’s Gospel is a classical example of how God’s love and Spirit is revealed
through the life and work of Jesus. Firstly, Jesus has wandered into foreign and
hostile territory—into Samaritan country. Secondly, he is talking to a woman;
third, she is a polygamist—three reasons why anybody of that era should not
have associated with women.
At Jacob’s well every kind of person in the human family meets—man and
woman, good and bad, Jew and Samaritan. Jesus embraces all. Acceptance of that
love follows Jesus as he also meets each of us at another well—that of our baptism. Like the Samaritan woman we also hear the good news that Jesus accepts
and welcomes us to his Eucharistic table.

EDUCACION RELIGIOSA

NIVELES 1 - 8
hombre y mujer, bueno y malo, Judío y Samaritano.
