M2000 Differential pressure measuring instrument with analogue scale MAGNEHELIC The MAGNEHELIC differential pressure gauges in the 2000 series are particularly suitable for measuring positive, negative (vacuum) or differential pressures within a range of 60 Pa up to 30 kPa, and within a range from 30 Pa up to 10 kPa for mid-scale zero point indication. Except for the gauges with ranges 0–60 Pa and 0–100 Pa which must always be mounted in vertical position, other gauges can be mounted in any position from vertical to horizontal. However, they have to be zero-gauged after installation. The core of the M2000 differential pressure gauge is a magnetic coupling between diaphragm and pointer. A diaphragm with an integrated O-ring separates the two pressure compartments. The motion of the diaphragm is transmitted by means of a rigid connection to a leaf spring especially adapted to the respective measuring range. Mounted on the flexible end of the spring is a small permanent magnet which deflects the pointer fixed on a ferromagnetic helix shaft on a sapphire bearing. The gradient of the helix is chosen in such way that a linear reading in proportion to the pressure differential is ensured. On both scale ends there are pointer stops of moulded rubber to protect the pointer and the measuring mechanism, as the gauges can be exposed to large over-pressures despite their small measuring Technical data Media compatibility air or non-corrosive gases Measuring ranges refer to data table Measuring accuracy ±4.0 % at a range of 0–60 Pa ±3.0 % up to 0–100 Pa ±2.0 % from 0–100 Pa or higher (of full scale) Max. permissible pressure 100 kPa Max. permissible temperature –20 to + 65 °C Pressure connection two pressure connections with 1/8” NPT female thread, from behind or sidewards (left side), for plastic tubing 4 x 6/8 mm Weight ~ 0.5 kg Standard accessories 2 hose nipples 2 blind nipples 3 clamp bows with bolts for panel assembly (assembly kit for flush mounting) * other measuring/indicating ranges on request 05/09 Standard types Type M 2000– 60 Pa M 2000– 100 Pa M 2000– 200 Pa M 2000– 300 Pa M 2000– 500 Pa M 2000– 750 Pa M 2000– 1 kPa M 2000–1.5 kPa M 2000– 2 kPa M 2000– 3 kPa M 2000– 5 kPa M 2000– 10 kPa M 2000– 15 kPa M 2000– 20 kPa M 2000– 30 kPa ranges. The design resists repeated pressure shocks or fast pressure changes. Main fields of use are: monitoring fan and blower pressures, measuring filter resistance, measuring pressure drops across orifice plates, monitoring liquid levels with bubbler systems, over-pressure monitoring in cleanrooms and air halls, monitoring over-pressures and negative pressures in air-conditioned rooms of laboratories and research institutes, furnace draft in burners and furnaces, air velocity measurements by Pitot tubes etc. Thus, the Magnehelic pressure gauges are the industry standard in heating, air-conditioning and climate (HVAC) systems. Also available are factory and calibration certificates produced by DKD-approved and certified testing instruments in compliance with DIN 10204.
