Burbank Sanitary District Setout Guidelines Collection Day: Service day is MONDAY for all Burbank Sanitary District residents. Garbage, recycling and yard trimmings are collected on MONDAY. Collection Time: Please have your containers ready for service by 6:00 a.m. on MONDAY. Used Motor Oil, Oil filters, and Household Battery Collection: Place oil in curbside oil containers provided by GreenWaste Recovery. Oil filters should be placed in clear sealed bags and household batteries should be placed in clear bags next to cart set out. Used Motor Oil, Oil Filters, and Household Batteries: To recycle used motor oil and oil at curbside, you must use free GreenWaste issued oil jugs and filter bags because they are designed to prevent leaks. To recycle household batteries, such as AA, AAA, D or nickel cadmium, place batteries in a sealed clear bag and place next to Garbage Carts for collection. Large Item Collection: You can have bulky items, such as sofas or refrigerators picked up at your curb for a small fee. To schedule a pick up appointment call Customer Service Department 48 hours before your next scheduled pick up day. (14)-32 gallon bags or boxes not exceeding 50 lbs. each OR (1) bulky item such as a sofa, tv, or desk.
