COMPETITION
TRAINING
CAMP
AND
Water Polo Australia are running this at the Australian Institute of Sport in
Canberra on May 1 – 8, 2016. It replace the U20’s National aged
competition and provides an alternative to the NTC Challenge.
This WPA initiative is designed to incorporate high-level training and
competition with athlete
education. The idea is for
the athletes to experience what it would be like to be involved with an
Australian senior training camp and competition environment.
CHARLIE BATES & JESSE TAYLOR
The camp gives WPA the opportunity to share knowledge and improve the
consistency of the message that is delivered to athletes across Australia. It
will be utilised as a professional development exercise, which has senior
level coaches mentoring our up and coming talent. The performance
support staff will be getting valuable hands on experience with elite athletes
in preparation for major tournaments around the world and providing their
expertise to fast track their development.
South Australia has a number of our Athletes and Coaches invited to attend.
