Respiratory infections are the most
common type of acute infection in children
and adults. Pathogen-specific diagnosis is
difficult due to overlapping clinical
symptoms of various pathogens. Most
infection cases are of viral origin, and they
do not require antibiotic treatment.
Identification of bacterial pathogens and
influenza viruses would be important to
enable pathogen-specific medication.

The mariPOC® multianalyte test system is

Pathogens commonly involved in both
upper and lower respiratory tract infections
can be detected rapidly with the mariPOC®
test system. Timely diagnosis enablres
in-patient cohorting and accurate use of
antivirals and antibiotics. The mariPOC®
test system combines antigen detection with
a novel diagnostic technology to deliver fast
and objective results.
The sensitivity and specificity of the
