Ferroxx® is an iron-based
bait that is effective against a
wide variety of slug and snail
species. The unique formula
works quickly, is easy to use,
can be used around pets and
wildlife, and is MRL exempt*.

Mode of Action
Use Sites
Chelated iron is incorporated into a unique
bait formulation; the iron is released at a
given location in the mollusc’s gut, causing
death.
Ferroxx has been registered for a broad
range of sites, including vegetables, fruits and
citrus, berries, herbs, field crops, artichokes,
ornamentals, greenhouses, nurseries,
commercial turf and sod, golf courses, grass
®
for seed, and non-crop areas.
Reduced Risk
Ferroxx® is exempt from the requirement
for a tolerance when used as a molluscicide
in or on all food commodities, which allows
for flexibility when exporting to a variety of
international markets.
Ferroxx® can be also be used in areas where
pets and wildlife protection are a concern

When slugs and snails ingest the bait, they
stop feeding, crawl back to their shelters,
become less mobile, and begin to die.
Ingestion, even in small amounts, will cause
them to cease feeding. This effect gives
immediate protection to plants. Dead slugs
and snails may not be visible as they often
crawl away to secluded places.
The non-dusty, highly compressed, uniform
pellet allows for easy application through
spreading equipment and provides the
maximum number of feeding points/acre.
Ferroxx® is easy to apply and remains
effective under varying weather and
irrigation conditions.
