Installation Guide: Screw to Wall Mirrors
Installation:
1. The easiest way to line up your holes is to place mirror on wall where you are going to install it, and
make the holes with a permanent marker. Make sure not to move mirror during marking otherwise
your holes may not line up. Use timber supports taped to wall to help support mirror while installing
2. For installation on to ceramic tiles it is best to scratch the glazing of the tile prior to drilling so the
drill doesn’t slide on the tiles, to do this use on old drill bit and hammer and gently tap it until the
glazing chips 1 to 2 mm. We recommend the use of Thermodrill for ceramic, marble and porcelain
.
tiles.
3. Drill holes out and insert wall plugs (for ceramic tiles or
masonry) or gyprock mates (for gyprock installation).
Ensure that your plugs are flush with the wall.
Do not use silicone to adhere mirror to wall as this will void
any warranties on the mirror.
4. Place plastic lug into the holes in your mirror.
5. Put mirror in place then screw into the wall
6. Do not over tighten screws; your screw should only be tight
enough so the plastic lug doesn’t spin around. If you over
tighten it, you could cause the mirror to crack.
7. Place chrome cover caps on and clean mirror with mineral
turpentine, place the mineral turpentine onto a rag then rub
surface clean
