Charlie has really been pushing himself this week to improve his phonic knowledge, which is having a
positive impact on his reading and writing. Well done Charlie.
Simran has made excellent progress this term. She is always smiling and encouraging her friends to make Mollie B
the right choices.
Micah R
Francesca is hardworking and has an excellent attitude to learning. Well done Francesca!

Star of the Week goes to Jessica, for continuing to show outstanding behaviour all day everyday. She is a
real role model to her class.
We have an accountant in the making in 1Q! Charlie has been AMAZING using money over the past two
weeks. He is fantastic at using a range of different coins to make amounts greater than £1!
He is so brilliant, that he has even helped others in the class who have struggled with using coins.
You are a superstar Charlie, well done!
Wow! What can I say. Since the start of the year, Dax has made a huge improvement in all aspects of his
learning and behaviour. Also, when 1S visited the library this week, Dax sat on the carpet, listened to a
story and sensibly read a range of books. Miss Trinder and I are very proud of you! Well done!
Marnie has only been with us for a few weeks, but what a great few weeks they have been. She has
settled in really well and is a great addition to our school, because her behaviour is fantastic, her work is
brilliant and she's amazing at spelling. I can tell that she's going to be the perfect Billesley pupil.
Roza only started at Billesley last term, but she has settled in really well! In every lesson Roza tries her
best and she has made fantastic progress. When she started at Billesley, Roza wasn't able to write in
cursive script, but now she can! Roza is a kind and helpful friend and already has lots of friends in Year 2.
We are so pleased you now come to Billesley Roza. Keep up the good work!
This week Mehrunisa has worked incredibly hard to produce a creative and exciting story about a lost
rat who lived down the sewer. She worked hard to use a variety of words with the suffix -ment, including
'amazement' and 'disappointment'. Mehrunisa used the drafting process well to make her writing even
better and overall produced a fantastic story. Well done Mehrunisa!
Zahra is trying her best at everything she does. She is becoming a strong mathematician, is developing
her grammar work and is generally contributing more in all subjects. I'm very proud of your work Zahra,
keep it up!
Lewis is working very hard and is concentrating much more. This is helping him to make progress. He is
always polite and very kind to others. Keep this up
Neva is one of those children who can, at times, go easily unnoticed. This is because she comes into
the classroom, sits down and gets on with what she has to do without any fuss. She is a thoughtful,
independent girl, who always strives to do her best and reflects on her work to see where she can
improve. For this reason, she will go far.
This week I have chosen Zara as my Star Of The Week, as she consistently shows outstanding behaviour
and a positive attitude towards learning. In addition to this, Zara is a polite and helpful member of our
class. Keep up the hard work Zara, we are all so proud of you.
Samad is a star everyday. He has become a mature member of the class who is always helpful, polite and
constantly tries his best. He always puts his hand up to participate in class discussions.
Well done Samad - keep it up.
Eshal has been working extremely hard recently. She is enthusiastic about all learning and is making
valuable contributions in class. Her responses and questions in RE in particular, are always thoughtful
and considered. Keep working hard Eshal, I am very proud of you.
Yahya is a mature and responsible member of 5B. He works hard in every single lesson and his
behaviour makes him a role model to others. I have been particularly impressed with Yahya's work in
English recently; he uses a variety of sentence types and descriptive devices and is really starting to
think about the vocabulary that he selects. Keep up the amazing work Yahya!
Ibrahim has impressed both Miss Zielinska and Miss Randall this week. He has shown a real desire to
improve his writing and has been working incredibly hard writing stories about 'The Lost Thing'. He has
also proved what an inquisitive mind he has by asking some excellent questions during our Science
lessons. Keep questioning Ibrahim!
Hasan is a hardworking and kind member of 5ZB! Every morning Hasan arrives in school promptly and
sets straight to task with his morning activities. After a quick 'Good Morning Miss!' Hasan is off! This
focus and determination is maintained all throughout the school day... What a star! All of your hard work is
paying off Hasan. Keep it up!
Khalid has tackled this very difficult SATs week head on and with a smile. He has been early to school
each day, encouraging others and on occasion, has serenaded 6K with his beautiful singing voice to
make us all feel relaxed. Well Done Khalid.
What a trooper! This boy has been totally unfazed by the challenges of SATs and has approached each
one with meticulous attention to detail. In his maths paper, teachers said that he could have completed
it twice in the time he was given because he was so careful and efficient, that he could go through and
check with time to spare. Well done Nawid, we're very proud!
Thomas has been a true star this week! He has worked very hard on every task and has completed some
brilliant writing on the computer. He has not given up when things have become difficult and has
encouraged his friends to do their best as well. He has shown empathy towards others, reminding his
friends to treat others the way they would want to be treated. Well done Thomas!
