An exciting retreat right here in Woodstock for grades
6, 7, and 8! Students will spend the night in host homes
with ten friends in the same grade and gender. They
will have a college or adult leader to hang out with
and invest in them. They will worship at the Warehouse
with worship leader Jake Holman and speaker Chad
Poe (chadpoe.com), play Capture the Flag at Heritage
Park, and have a trampoline glow party at Skyzone!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Who will I stay with?
You will be staying with students in the same grade and gender as yourself. Each group will average
around ten students and one group leader. You can request a friend to be in the same home with you
in the online registration process.
Where will I be staying?
Members of First Baptist Church, Woodstock have graciously opened their homes for you this weekend.
They lead Sunday small groups for middle school or are parents of middle school students. They live
within a short distance from the church. To request a specific home, please email [email protected].
Can I leave AWAKE?
Yes. We understand families have many plans on the weekend so if you have to skip out of part of the
weekend for a sporting event, school activity, or family engagement please fill out the “Time Away”
form on the next page. Of course, the weekend works best if you’re at all of it, so please try to
arrange to attend the whole thing!
What does AWAKE cost?
$75 covers the cost for the entire weekend including Skyzone, worship, Capture the Flag,
transportation, and food! The price will go up to $85 on October 20. You can pay online or by check.
If you don’t have $75, we have a limited number of scholarships available. Please fill out the form on
page 4 and turn it in as soon as possible. If your situation changes and you are unable to attend, full
refunds will be granted until October 20.
Can I use my cell phone?
Yes. Students will be allowed to use their cell phones during the weekend. However, they are not
allowed to be used during small group and worship sessions. Leaders are authorized to take them up if
they are a distraction or are being used in inappropriate ways.
What if I have allergies?
You can enter any allergies during the online registration process. If you have a specific food allergy
that requires special arrangements, please notify [email protected].
Who is Chad Poe?
Chad preaches God’s Word through storytelling, media, and visual experience. As a result, the
Scripture is clearly presented in order for people of all ages to examine and apply Biblical truth to
their everyday walks of life. As someone not simply called to speak, Chad believes in the importance
of relationship and seeks to get to know people when he is away from the stage. Ultimately, Chad
hopes to see people moved into a deeper relationship with Christ. In turn, they will live lives of action
