LORENZO WAITERS
Thanks Lt. Lorenzo Waiters, you have
been a true Friend..
After 38 years Lorenzo, seen here with
our president Tim Moran and Sheriff
Brad Streube, Retires…….
Lorenzo’s relationship with NAMI
Manatee is one of repeat appearances/
performances. It all began more than a
decade ago when he first signed up to
manage the 40-hour Crisis Intervention
Training, offered by NAMI and Manatee Glens. Subsequently, Lorenzo
has been an enlightening and entertaining Guest Speaker. As a result
of our "getting to know him", Ann Jerman and Linda Davis eventually
asked Lorenzo to be one of our male models at an upcoming fashion
show fund-raiser. His appearance was so well-received that he
modeled for us three times in a row. He was/is the only individual to
have modeled for us more than once. All of us in NAMI Manatee have
appreciated his support of our organization and our endeavors.

Butterflies.
On September 26th
about 800 walked or

Green Bridge from Sutton Park Palmetto to the
Bradenton Riverwalk and back again. The event
was held to raise community awareness and
money to support the mental illness cause including
depression and suicide. Butterflies and doves were
released in remembrance of loved ones lost. A
