The new reference range for Manual PT and PTINR, effective April 30:
B pertussis Ab IgA IB—Discontinued test replaced by Bpertussis Antibody IgA IB.
B pertussis Ab IgG IB—Discontinued test replaced by Bpertussis Antibody IgG IB.
B pertussis Ab IgM IB—Discontinued test replaced by Bpertussis Antibody IgM IB.
Bpertussis Antibody IgA IB—New ARUP send out test replacing B pertussis Ab IgA IB, effective May 9
Bpertussis Antibody IgAG IB—New ARUP send out test replacing B pertussis Ab IgG IB, effective May 9
Bpertussis Antibody IgM IB—New ARUP send out test replacing B pertussis Ab IgM IB, effective May 9
Preferred container for all three tests is a Gold; Red acceptable. Minimum volume 0.15 ml refrigerated serum. Method immunoblot; TAT 2–9 days.
C1 Function Ser QN—Container change from Gold to Red. Gold no longer acceptable effective May 20. Minimum volume 0.25
ml frozen serum. Do not combine aliquot with any other test.
HIV AG (NON-ICD) Ser ELISA—Discontinued Focus send out test, effective May 20. Order as a Miscellaneous Send Out.
Lyme Ab Western Blot CSF—Discontinued send out test, effective May 1.
Lyme Ab Immunoblot CSF—New Mayo send out test replacing Lyme Ab Western Blot CSF. Minimum volume 0.2 ml refrigerated
CSF. Method immunoblot; TAT 2-4 days.
Lyme Disease Western Blot—Discontinued send out test, effective May 1.
Lyme Disease Immunoblot—New Mayo send out test replacing Lyme Disease Western Blot. Preferred container Red, Gold
acceptable. Minimum volume 0.2 ml refrigerated serum. Method immunoblot; TAT 2-4 days.

New double sided charts for both vacutainers and microtainers are available in 8.5x11 wall charts size, pocket size and hang
tag size. Please contact Patti Jordan at [email protected] for the wall charts. Clients may contact either Patti or their account representative.
Nursing may order the pocket cards and hang tags through Lawson.

Microtainer order of draw for
all collection methods
LAVENDER
LIGHT GREEN
GOLD

Always place microtainer on tube extender
and then apply identification labels on the
microtainer/tube extender combination.
Please follow the above ORDER OF DRAW instructions when filling
microtainers. The reason for the specific order is to prevent the risk
of contamination from one type of microtainer to the next.
