Sing through your hymn with your family
and reflect on our risen Lord.
I serve a risen Savior He’s in the world today
I know that He is living, Whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy; I hear His voice of cheer;
And just the time I need Him He’s always near.
He lives, He lives, Christ Jesus lives today!
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
Read Matthew 28:6
“He is not here; for He is Risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”
Over 2000 years ago, Christ died on the cross for our sins. He was buried in a tomb
and a stone was rolled over the entrance. 3 days later, some friends went to the tomb
to see his body and when they arrived, HE WAS NOT THERE!!!! He has risen from the
dead. He was alive, just as He had told them. What a miracle!! Our Savior died for us
and then rose from the grave to prepare a place for us in heaven above and also so we
could be with Him forever and ever. Praise the Lord!!!
Pray
Lord, thank You for the miracle of the resurrection. You are a God of wonders and of
truth. You said You would raise from the dead and You did. I love You, Lord.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Read John 11:25
“Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in Me will
live, even though they die.’”
What a wonderful thing to know, that our Lord and Savior who died for us was raised from the dead,
ascended back to Heaven and will return again to take us to heaven. The things we now suffer from
on earth will be no more, whether we die an earthly death and we are taken to Heaven to spend
eternity with Christ and our loved ones, or whether He returns today to take us to Heaven before we
die. We can have the assurance and the promise of eternal life if we believe in him.
Pray
Lord, thank You for the assurance that one day we will be with You in heaven and the pain and sin
on this earth will fade away. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
