evening of poems from Sky Below: Selected Works and conversation
regarding how poetry seeks to register and face human atrocities.
Raúl Zurita
Born in Chile in 1950, Zurita is one of Latin
America's most celebrated poets. He is the
recipient of the Premio Nacional de Literatura de Chile and the Premio Iberoamericano de Poesía Pablo Neruda.
Anna Deeny Morales
Deeny Morales is a literary critic and translator. She has translated the works of Zurita, Alejandra Pizarnik, and Mercedes Roffé,
among others, and teaches at Georgetown
University.
