Individual Award Honors - GateWay Community College

President’s Message
Dear Geckos:
Welcome to GateWay Community College Athletics, home of the GateWay Geckos.
Our athletic program is young compared to our sister colleges in the Maricopa Community College system. In 2012
we celebrated our 10th Anniversary. Much has changed in that time, but what remains constant is our dedication to
student success on and off the field.
Our men’s and women’s teams are some of the best in the district and the state. Several of our players have
transferred their knowledge and skills to universities all over the country. Some have been selected to play
professionally.
Like a real-life gecko, our athletes are quite agile, with the ability to adapt successfully from the field to the classroom.
From our coaches and athletic staff to faculty and staff, we are here to help you succeed.
Good luck in your endeavors at GateWay and in the Maricopa Community College system.
Steven Gonzales
President of GateWay Community College
