3. How Rip and Convert Blu-ray/DVD to MKV
on Mac without Quality Loss?
3.1 Step 1. Import Source Blu-ray/DVD Files
Launch Leawo Blu-ray to MKV Converter for Mac to enter the main program interface. There are
two ways for you to import source Blu-ray/DVD files. Click “Add Blu-ray/DVD” button at the top left

to browse and
choose source Blu-ray/DVD files: Blu-ray/DVD disc, folder, or ISO image file. Alternatively, you can
directly drag and drop source Blu-ray/DVD files into the program.
Once source Blu-ray/DVD content is selected, three options will be provided for you to import Bluray/DVD file(s): Full Movie, Main Movie and Custom Mode. Full Movie allows you to import all
titles, and Main Movie only imports the longest title by default while you can freely choose titles
for importing under Custom Mode. With the help of the built-in Blu-ray player, you can preview
selected Blu-ray/DVD title. Choose a mode and select title(s) if necessary, and then click “OK”
button to start importing source Blu-ray/DVD files.

3.2 Step 2. Choose Subtitles and Audio Tracks
After source Blu-ray/DVD files are imported, you need to choose subtitles and audio tracks for
keeping in the output MKV files before conversion process takes place. All source subtitles and
audio tracks can be fully preserved, and subtitle(s) and audio track(s) selection is also available.
Multi-channel surround sound including Dolby TrueHD audio track can be selected and preserved.

3.3 Step 3. Preview Source Blu-ray/DVD Content and Snap

You can preview source Blu-ray/DVD content by clicking the previewing icon at the bottom left of
each title.
After the icon is clicked, you will be guided into the internal Blu-ray player, where you can preview
the content together with subtitle and audio track you choose by right clicking for selection.
Moreover, you can snap screenshot by clicking the camera icon. Click the left-side button at the
top left of video previewing panel to return to the main interface. Please take note that subtitles
and audio tracks you select in Step 2 are kept in output MKV file only, and are not viewable when
previewing.

3.4 Step 4. Set Output Directory
On the main interface, click the green “Convert” button
at the top right to pop up
a sidebar, where you need to set an output directory to contain converted MKV files in “Save to”
box.

3.5 Step 5. Convert Blu-ray/DVD to MKV on Mac with 100% Original

If you are using trial version, a notice will pop up on output directory setting sidebar. You can check
“Agree” button to have a free trial, and then click the “Convert” button
at the
