Parent instructions for requesting an interview 1/ Go to the following website www.edval.com.au/book 2/ In the login box which appears in the centre of the screen, you need to type in the 5 digit code, which will allow you into the bookings website. This code is found on the parent teacher interview letter, that has been sent home with these instructions. 3/ If you only have 1 child in years 7‐12, you can go to step 4. If you have a second child you can add them to the page, by clicking on add underneath your first child’s name and then putting your second child’s 5 digit code. You can repeat this as many times as needed. This will allow you to request interviews for more than 1 child and eliminates any clashes that could occur. 4/ Under the heading “Availability”, you will see an sentence which says “I am available for interviews during this event”. If you do not press change, it means that interviews could be booked for you anytime between 1.30pm and 6.45pm. To change this click on the word change, this is in brackets, next to the sentence. 5/ The box that comes up gives you three choices; a) You are unable to attend the interview times, select “can’t attend” and this is all you will need to do. b) Select a time range that you can attend for. Start times can be between 1.30pm and 5.30pm, while finish times are between 3pm and 6.45pm. The longer the time period you give, the better chance of seeing all the teachers you want to see. c) If you put a start time in the box next to “I prefer my interviews to start from” The system will then schedule interviews for you from that start time, until the end of the night. 6/ Once you have put in when you are available from, click on the Request interview button that is towards the top of the screen. This will take you to a screen that lists your child’s teachers. To request an interview you need to move the teachers name from the left side of the table to the right side of the table. This will change the teacher colour from pink to green. Important point: If there is already a teacher’s name on the right side of the screen, this means that a teacher has requested to have an interview with you. You can ignore this if you wish, but a reminder notice will come up on the screen if you do. 7/ Once you have requested the interviews, you simply need to logout, by clicking on the logout button at the top of the screen. 8/ The interview booking website will be open from Friday the 31st of March until 10am on Friday the 7th of April. At this point a schedule will be printed off for your interviews and sent home with your child. These schedules will be sent home on Monday the 10th of April. If you do not have access to the internet at home, or you are having trouble, you can call the school and speak to the Year Level Manager or Assistant Principal who will be able to put your requests in over the phone. You will need your 5 digit access code when you ring the school for all your children. The teachers to speak to are found over the page.
