Next Steps
• On May 12th, the Bay Bridge Project Oversight Committee
directed staff to delete the current Southgate Design from the
Caltrans construction contract
• Met with SFCTA, SFMTA and DPW on May 13th to discuss
proposed concepts
• Continue working with SFCTA, Caltrans & BATA to fund the
alternate interchange design
• SFCTA proposed to deliver
• Continue working with core team – SFCTA, Caltrans, TICD,
USCG, & SFMTA – to assess alternate configuration
• Optimize function/operation
• Assess delivery/implementation
• Review property implications with USCG
