Giant Pandas
Giant pandas are Chinese bears that are
black and white. They are large mammals almost
extinct, which means that there aren’t very many
of them.
The largest pandas grow to be about 250
pounds, about the weight of a large adult. They
are about 6 feet long and 3 feet tall. Their tails are
very small, only about 6 inches long.
Pandas only eat bamboo. Since the bamboo
is very low in nutrition, they have to eat 40 pounds
of it daily! This means they have to eat 12 hours a
day!
