Create, illustrate, inspire … and win a trip to POLAND
THE WORLD CHANGED IN 1989
...and it all started in Poland with a peaceful revolution that brought back freedom and democracy in a country
under Soviet-instated dictatorship. Capture the essence of 25 years of a free Poland, explore stories of nations
and people who followed Poland’s way and win a trip to this country full of history, beauty and creativity.
The collapse of the communist era culminated in the heart of Europe in 1989, in Poland, through a peaceful revolution
that claimed zero lives but brought freedom to millions. Poles reinstated democracy – a political belief deeply rooted
in their DNA for hundreds of years – removing themselves from 44 years of Soviet-instated dictatorship.
By the end of the year, the Berlin Wall came down and the Eastern Bloc nations threw off their shackles one by one,
inspired by the Polish transition.
SHARE YOUR INSPIRATION
In 2014, we are celebrating these events, which brought freedom to millions of Europeans and relief to the entire world.
You’re invited to join this celebration and to create, illustrate and inspire 25 years of a communism-free Poland.
Explore the story of people who departed from the darkest times of their history to become one of the most influential
European nations. Tell us about those who embraced the very same principles of solidarity and freedom to fight against
oppression and to save human dignity anywhere in the world. Your creation could win you a study trip to Poland!
