NO SCHOOL
Monday Oct, 14th
Principal’s Corner
State Testing for Grade 3 starts Tuesday, Oct. 15th Grade 3 is the next and final class to take the state test
called the NECAP. This test is given to all New Hampshire students in grades 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 11 is based
on the state curriculum frameworks for what students should know and be able to do at these levels.
It’s very important that you also help your children be prepared. All that involves is making sure they attend
school on time, get a good night’s rest every night of the testing and encourage them to do their best. Students
will receive no homework on testing nights, just a reminder to get rest and be ready to do their best
Halloween Monster Mash is coming up……October 25…..6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Epping Elementary
School PTO will be hosting a whole bunch of zombies, princesses, werewolves, ninjas, and other costumed
guests in two weeks. There will be a haunted hallway, arts and crafts, refreshments, DJs, and a costume parade. The Mash has been a family hit for years. Some reminders and some advice for those planning to attend. First, children must be accompanied by an adult. This is not a drop-off event. Second, the Mash is open
only to EES students and their younger siblings. Older siblings in middle school can attend the Middle School
Dance. High school age siblings will not be admitted. This rule is strictly enforced.
No School on Monday, October 14. Please enjoy the Columbus Day holiday. This means students return on
Tuesday, October 15.
