OUR PROPOSAL
Would you like to find a solution to a problem in your
neighbourhood or town? Have you considered that such a
solution could be in your hands? Do you know that you can
become an actual social entrepreneur?
 LEARN
Summer Programme
If you were born between July 15th 1997 and December 31st
2000, and you would like to have an international experience
in Spain, learning about the country and its culture, while you
work on an idea to solve a problem in your immediate
surroundings, do send us your application. You could join the
fourth edition of the “Action x Change (AxC)” Summer
Programme that will take place from June 28th to July 12th at
the University Residence Marqués de la Ensenada (Madrid,
Spain).
UWC España (UWC Spanish Committee Foundation) now
offers you the necessary tools to help you change the world.
Fill in and send us your online application form, which you
may find at www.colegiosmundounido.es from January 28th
to March 30th 2015, attaching all requested files, and you will
participate in the 2015 call.

THE TEAM
Made up of UWC alumni from different countries, with specific
knowledge about social entrepreneurship, leadership, the
environment, education, leisure and outdoor activities, as well
as artistic and multidisciplinary fields.
 LEARN
Summer Programme
Coordinator, trainers and facilitators
Young professionals linked to UWC, with experience in event
planning and the organization of summer camps, as well as
training and leisure activities for youth and children.
Other social entrepreneurs and guest speakers
Workshops and sessions are organised by the team of
trainers and facilitators, as well as by other speakers with
relevant experience in social innovation: young entrepreneurs
and eminent experts in different fields.

THE SETTING
The AxC2015 Summer Programme will take place in the
heart of Madrid, at the University Residence Marqués de la
Ensenada (www.cmumarquesdelaensenada.com). Only a
few metres away from the Western Park, you will live in an
ideal location:
•Accommodation at a student hall, with double rooms
including a complete restroom, daily cleaning and air
conditioning
•Dinning hall with balanced menus, catering to all kinds of
needs (medical, religious, etc.)
•Five-a-side football, handball, basketball, volley-ball, and
padel tennis courts, swimming pool and green areas
•Assembly hall, computer lab, classrooms, and leisure zone
•First-aid post

• For you to become even more aware that young people
represent a force of social change within your own
communities.

SURROUNDINGS
OUR GOALS
• For you to get to know all the necessary tools that will
help you implement your social project (strategic planning,
team building, public speaking, debating, negotiating,
seeking alliances and potential sponsors, monitoring your
own project, measuring results, etc.).
•For you to explore your social awareness and values in
order to promote respect, understanding, non-discrimination,
and peace, through a complete programme of leisure,
artistic and sports activities.
• For you to make the most out of the rest of the summer
and the following academic year by implementing your social
projects, with the help of a mentor.

FACT SHEET
Number of slots: 40
Language: bilingual English-Spanish
Dates: From June 28th to July 12th 2015.
Location: University Residence Marqués de la Ensenada,
Madrid, Spain.
Scholarships: All spots already hold a 10% scholarship,
resulting in a total fee of 1,395 Euros per participant.
On April 27th, personal communications will inform the
candidates about the result of the selection process, confirming
a spot at Action x Change 2015 or a spot in the waitlist.
Motivation to attend the programme, as well as other relevant
aspects, will be taken into account during the selection process
of the candidates. Criteria also include the selection of
candidates that will make up an international, committed, and
heterogeneous team of youngsters of different origins, both
within Spain and abroad.
Acceptance of offered spots will be by payment of 45% of
programme fees (627 Euros), which must take place between
April 27th and 30th.
