Headteacher Information: Mrs. Jane Rosser
Class Blogs: Each week the teachers update the class blogs, it is a
good place to look to find out what the children have been learning.
Football Y3/4 Hambridge.
Mrs Redwood: Mrs Redwood has some exciting news. As you know, she
kindly covered the teaching in year five this summer but, from
September, she has a new job in a school which is near her brother in
Berkshire. Although we will all miss her, I am sure we all wish her well in
her exciting new role.
Y6 Wells (Smart uniform
including hoody please and
don’t forget your packed
lunch!)
Staff Car Park: Sadly we do not have a school car park, only a staff
one. For everyone’s safety, please do not use the staff car park at any
time of the day.
Chess cancelled due to
sporting event.
Tuesday
Photo Day – smart school
uniform please! Craft Club is
cancelled.
Wednesday
Rec- Wellies please.
Reception Class is swimming.
Thursday
9am Community Room Fete
meeting, all welcome. If you
are unable to make it but
would like to help, please let
the office know.
Athletics club cancelled due
to sporting event. No Country
Dancing club as the children
performed on Saturday at
Wells Country Dancing will be
on next week though, so the
children can get ready to
dance at the fete.
Friday
Pop-Up Café in the
Community Room with Jess.
Come and have a look
through the year six national
test papers…..you will be
impressed by the amount of
work the children had to do!
Lost Property: Over a dozen jumpers/cardigans with no names this
week – please name your items and put class on if possible, thanks.
Clubs: These continue until the end of June.
Letters: Any letters being returned can all go in the parent post box, it is
emptied each day.
Year 6: We hope year six have a really nice day at Wells Cathedral on
Monday; it is their special year six day with other church schools which
the Church Trust kindly pays for.
School Events for 2017/18: On the dates tab on the website, these have
now been published for the next year. So if you want to put the date
for the Christmas play in your diary you will find it on there. A copy will
also be printed for you as part of the children’s new planners which
they will be getting in September. Our new planners have more space
to add comments/messages between home/school which we hope
everyone finds useful as we know that not everyone drops off/picks up
each day and may have a message for the teacher.
Trading Cards/Collectoers Items: Please can the children not bring
them to school as it causes many disagreements between children as
well as creating an expensive competition of who has the most. We
suggest children trade them after school when they see their friends. Or
if you would like your child to be part of a larger trading circle, then I
suggest that under the yellow dome, in the outside classroom you take
your child there after school and between parents/children you could
supervise any trades.

provide a useful service for parents.

help, please call into the office or see Sue Heywood (PTA Chair).
