Effective May 1, 2017: Any Declaration of Intent Form submitted via email will NOT be processed for certification of VA
Education Benefits due to security concerns.
A Declaration of Intent must be submitted to Towson University’s Veterans Affairs Office (see above) each term a student requests
certification for VA education benefits. Please type or print clearly and submit by mail, fax or in person. Students requesting
certification for the first time at Towson should contact the Veterans Affairs Office at least 8 weeks prior to the date of
enrollment to ensure timely processing of the paperwork. For assistance regarding various GI Bill education benefits administered
by the US Dept. of Veterans Affairs call 1-888-442-4551 to speak with a Veterans Benefits Coordinator or visit their website at
www.gibill.va.gov to access information.
