at Callaway Gardens with a fireworks display at Robin Lake Beach.

GARDENS SPOTLIGHT
As you travel through the Gardens, watch for:
Flame Azalea Rhododendron (calendulaceum): The flowers are larger than most of the natives, measuring from 1.5 to 2.5 inches across,
and come in a wide range of colors from clear yellow, through shades of orange, to brilliant red.
Oakleaf Hydrangea: (Hydrangea Garden Trail) A deciduous shrub with white showy flower heads that can be found throughout the
Gardens.
Summer Annuals: (Around Butterfly Center) Colors range from white to pink to vivid red. Some varieties have bronze foliage and some
green variegated with white.
Kousa Dogwoods: Grows 15 to 20 feet tall and has beautiful exfoliating bark, long lasting flowers, good fall color, and attractive fruit.
Pinckneya: Small tree of the southern United States closely resembling the cinchona or Peruvian bark. It has pretty, large white flowers,
with longitudinal stripes of rose-color.
UPCOMING EVENTS
FSU Flying High Circus: June 3-July 22, Saturday 3:30 p.m. and 8 p.m.; Sundays, Mondays, Thursdays 3:30 p.m.; Fridays 8 p.m. (Robin Lake
Beach, Beach Dome). Included with admission, no ticket required. Enjoy one of the only collegiate circuses as they entertain with acrobatics and
antics.
Fabulous Fridays/Movies on the Beach: Every Friday through August 26, 5 p.m. (Robin Lake Beach). Get ready to have some Friday night fun
with the FSU Flying High Circus (8 p.m. through July 22), music, a beautiful sunset and a Movie on The Beach on our 50 ft. screen. All will make
for “fabulous” night. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Free for paid day and overnight guests as well as Annual Passholders. After 5 p.m., only
$10*/adult; $5/child.

Saturday Night Summer Music Series with FIREWORKS: Every Saturdays, May 28 through September 10, 5 p.m. (Robin Lake Beach) enjoy
bands on the beach while watching a beautiful sunset. Through July 22, Saturday nights will include the FSU Flying High Circus at 8 p.m. and
through July 16 fireworks at dark. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Free for paid day and overnight guests as well as Annual Passholders. After 5
p.m., only $10*/adult; $5/child. *Excluding special events such as the Concerts on July 4 Star Spangled Beach Party, Labor Day Sky High Hot Air
Balloon Festival and Craft Beer Festival (Sept. 10).

Oh, My Stars! Astronomy Program: June 6-July 18 (excluding July 4), Mondays 9 p.m. (Overlook Azalea Garden Pavilion). An entire new
realm of the universe unfolds as you learn about stars, planets, satellites and more! The astronomers from Columbus State University's CocaCola Space Science Center will help you navigate the Summer sky with an array of telescopes. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Rain or shine.
