When we read, I expect that you quickly and quietly get into your group. I also expect that you sit all around one table so that everyone is included. When you read, you should take turns and anyone who isn’t reading should be following along in his or her book. There are a number of worksheets that I have included with this page to help you comprehend the novel. Each group member will be assigned a role and a worksheet. It will be his or her responsibility (over the next two weeks) to make sure that the worksheet is complete (in everyone’s packet). For example, if you are the Theme Guy, then it is your responsibility to get the theme worksheet filled out. The best way to do that is to use the time that I will give you in class and discuss the worksheet in your group. Each of you is responsible for completing one worksheet however when you turn in your packets all the worksheets need to be completed. • Character Guy or Gal • Theme Guy or Gal • Literary Elements Guy or Gal • Vocabulary Guy or Gal
