Getting to Hotel Kompas from airport
The airport that serves the Dubrovnik area is located in Čilipi – Konavle, about 21-22
km from the old town centre in Dubrovnik.
The best way of getting to and from Dubrovnik Airport is by shuttle bus, local bus and
taxi.
1.„Atlas“ shuttle bus
Airport shuttle bus waits for every scheduled flight at the right-hand side outside the
airport arrivals terminal.
You can purchase an Airport shuttle bus ticket to Dubrovnik in Atlas travel agency
counter on the right-hand side after you exit the baggage claim area. In case of late
arrivals (when Atlas counter is closed), you can buy tickets on the bus from the bus
driver.
A one-way ticket is 40 Croatian Kuna, while a return ticket is 70 Croatian Kuna.
• From Airport to Dubrovnik, the bus stops after 30 min at Pile Gate bus station next
to the Old City.
At Pile Gate you can take a 10-15 min ride by taxi or local public bus Libertas (line no.
4 Hotel Palace- Pile every 15, 20 minutes) to get to Hotel Kompas, 4km away. The
bus stops on the bus station Lapadski dvori 1, near the hotel Kompas. Tickets cost 15
HRK if purchased on the bus or 12 HRK if pre-purchased at a newspaper kiosk.
• From Dubrovnik to Airport the shuttle bus generally leaves from the main bus
station in Gruž 120 minutes before every international flight and 90 minutes before
every domestic flight.
The journey time to the airport is approximately 30 minutes.
The bus stops at the main bus station in Gruž or a bus stop near the Dubrovnik Cable
Car at Ploče, next to the Old City.
2. Public bus transportation company "Libertas"
If you are not in such a great rush, there are local buses that travel to/from the
airport but with a number of stops along the way. Buses 11 and 27 travel between the
airport and Dubrovnik. Tickets cost 28 HRK in one way.

3. Taxi
If you decide to take a taxi to hotel Kompas, it will cost you around 250 HRK / 35 EUR.

Getting to Dubrovnik old town from Hotel Kompas
By bus
Hotel Kompas is located 4km from Dubrovnik's old town. Near hotel you can find bus
stations of the local public bus transportation Libertas for lines no. 4 (Hotel Palace –
Pile) and line no.6 (Babin kuk – Pile). The closest bus station for line no. 4 in the
direction to the old city is called Lapadski dvori 2, and it drives every 15 to 20 minutes.
The bus drives back from the Pile stop to hotel Kompas, stopping at Lapadski dvori
1bus station.
The closest bus station for line no. 6 in the direction to the old city is „Tomislava 2“and
the bus stops at Pile. When you are driving back to the hotel from Pile (Dubrovnik old
town) , the bus stops at M.Bratoša bus station.
Dubrovnik's Old Town is only a 15-minute bus ride away from the hotel and it costs 12
Croatian Kunas – 1,5 euros - per person one way. Tickets are available from
newspaper stalls, travel agencies, Libertas stalls (Pile Gate and the main bus station).
Tickets are valid for 1 hour and must be cancelled in the machines immediately on
boarding the bus. Tickets can also be boutht directly from the bus driver at the price
of 15 Croatian Kunas - 2 euros - per person one way.

By Taxi
The other possibility to get to the old town is by taxi. Taxis cannot enter the Old Town
but can take you to the gates. A one-way taxi ride from hotel Kompas to Dubrovnik
old town costs cca 9-12 € and takes about 10 minutes.
