Description: The public address announcer is the main voice of the Eau Claire Express while at Carson Park.
The PA Announcer works closely with the front office staff including the General Manager, Director of Ticket
Sales and intern staff in executing all sponsorships related to the public address system along with effectively
promoting events involving the Northwoods League season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Announcing pregame activities, starting lineups, all game action, public address announcements,
presentations and other announcements that come up throughout the game.
2. Provide an energetic atmosphere at Carson Park through pregame and in-game action.
3. Review and provide feedback on script with marketing intern to ensure a high level of accuracy and
execution.
4. Maintain a professional image at all times whether on or off the microphone and serve as a
professional representative of the Express organization.
5. Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
1. Strong vocal talent
2. Unique and definitive personality
3. Strong knowledge of baseball, including rules and positions
4. Ability to multi-task in a stressful environment
5. Comfortable announcing to crowds of 4,000 people on a microphone
6. Comfortable announcing complex names from a variety of ethnic backgrounds
7. Able to attend all Express home games (including potential playoff games) and arrive an hour and a
half prior to first pitch
8. Available to attend pre-season run through
9. Receptive to both positive and negative feedback
10. Ability to be flexible and open to changes in script
11. Comfortable working closely with intern staff members
12. Experience working as a PA announcer, in television, or radio is preferred but not necessarily required
Compensation: Position is paid on a per-game basis
