3A’s WTR: We will be starting a new
chapter book called Jake Drake. Our
skill is “point of view”. We will also be
doing Lesson 2 in Wordly Wise.
Spelling: Journeys-Lesson 8, words are
glued in their notebooks. Two activities
are due by each Friday.
Grammar: We will be learning about
irregular plural nouns. Quiz will be Fri.
Writing: Writing complete sentences.
Math: Chapter 3-Subtraction: We will
be subtracting with regrouping. Please
check over homework to make sure they
are “borrowing” correctly. Quiz on Wed.
Science: Electricity & Magnetism -We
will have finished doing the electricity
experiments with circuits from the FOSS
Kit. Test from these investigations will be
this Wednesday. Then, we will learn
about magnets and electromagnets.
Social Studies: We will be learning
about SC’s Regions- Inner/Outer Coastal
Plains and Coastal Zone. A project letter
will be going home this week in your
child’s binder. They will be making a
travel brochure on ONE of the 6 regions.
Also, timeline projects will be going home
by the end of the week.
