San Francisco and Fresno are on the west coast,
Roanoke and Norfolk are on the east coast. San
Francisco and Norfolk are near the Ocean,

Won by a PVPUSD student in 2011!
One of my own students, who
entered for this Mix & Match,
made it to the TOP 10
NATIONALLY IN 2014!!
**Are you next?**
It is for students in grades 5-8. The
challenge is to create a 1 to 2 minute

Plot the temperatures on a bar graph.
Then explain how ocean temperature
affects climate in coastal areas
(approximately 1 paragraph of writing).
Write a sentence- NOT A
DEFINITION- for each (yes, ALL
of them) of your vocabulary words
that shows you understand the
meaning of the word. “I like the
Coriolis Effect.” or “Climate is one of
my vocabulary words.” would NOT
be acceptable.
