Teams: VARSITY: GRADES 9-­‐12 (top 20) 9TH GRADERS MUST BE SIGNIFICANT PLAYERS ON THE VARSITY (IE STARTER OR 1ST OFF BENCH as well as demonstrate the mental discipline to play at this level.). JV: GRADES 10-­‐12 (next 20-­‐22) B TEAM: GRADE 10 and GRADE 11 (next 18-­‐20) 9TH GRADE – 2 TEAMS (PURPLE AND GOLD) DIVIDED BY ABILITY. IF WE HAVE MORE THAN 36 9th graders at tryouts, there is a possibility that some 9th graders will be moved to the B team to make team sizes functional in both training and playing time. All 9th graders will tryout with 9th grade regardless of the numbers and coaches will determine their placement at the end of the tryout week. ALL LEVELS WILL HAVE TRYOUTS. THERE WILL BE CUTS FOR GRADES 10-­‐12. EVERY 9TH GRADER WILL BE PLACED ON A TEAM BASED ON THEIR ABILITY. VARSITY TRYOUTS ARE DESIGNED FOR THOSE THAT WANT TO TRYOUT FOR THE VARSITY TEAM. THEY ARE OPEN TO ANYONE IN GRADES 9-­‐12. PLEASE BE PREPARED FOR INTENSE TRAINING AT A HIGH LEVEL. WE WILL REDUCE THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS FOR THESE PRACTICES AFTER WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 19th MORNING TRYOUTS. ANYONE NOT MAKING THIS POOL WILL COME TO THE AFTERNOON SESSIONS DESIGNED FOR JV/B OR 9TH GRADE TRYOUTS. Communication: We encourage all student-­‐athletes to communicate directly with their coaches about any questions or feedback. As a parent, please make sure that your daughter is communicating with the coach FIRST as needed before a parent addresses the coach. Our practice and game schedule are online and up to date. Any changes (weather, cancellations, changes in venue etc) will be found on the athletics daily updates at. Coaches/administration will be able to also email updates to the student-­‐athletes CDH email if advance notice or through school announcements. We will use our twitter account https://twitter.com/CDHSoccer for reminders as well for mainly Varsity or preseason updates. Student-­‐Athletes are responsible to check these areas for any updates. Costs: ALL VARSITY and JV will need to buy purple and white socks. ($10 each pair). Uniforms are provided for Varsity, JV and B teams. ALL 9th graders will pay for one game t-­‐shirt. ($15) Players will be asked to wear black shorts and white socks for games. Girls Soccer Team Pictures are MONDAY, AUGUST 31th. Photo forms are on our website and will be handed out to players a week prior to this date. VARSITY ONLY will be purchasing TEAM warm-­‐up jacket and pants and practice t-­‐shirt. Varsity will place orders once team is named on August 21th. OPTIONAL GEAR: All other teams will go thru a CDH SOCCER online store. The online store link will be emailed to all players as well as handed out at this meeting and posted on the website on August 10th. It will close date on August 17th and anyone (players, parents and family) may purchase thru the store.
