errors: In the event of an error in advertisement, we will
be responsible for only that portion of space in error. The
newspaper will, upon request, furnish a letter to the advertiser to be posted in the store, stating the correction, but
will not assume any liability for any difference in case the
goods are sold at an incorrect price. The newspaper must be
notified within two days after the incorrect ad appeared.
proofs: Proofs can be guaranteed if copy is in by Friday
5 p.m. The paper will not be responsible for mistakes in approved proofs. The basic purpose for any proof is to check
for deletions, typographical errors and any price corrections.
revisions: Revision of original copy will be made only
when it can be done without delaying the publication of the
paper or violating deadlines.
acceptability: The paper reserves the right to reject
any advertisement that may be deemed objectionable either
in subject matter or phraseology.
photo policy: Photographs taken by the newspaper
staff will be charged at $15.00 for the first picture and $7.00
for each additional picture photographed within a limited
driving area; mileage charges may apply. There will be a
$5.00, one-time, scanning fee for artwork and photos furnished by the advertiser.
payment: All accounts are due by the 15th of the month
following insertion.
delinquencies: Accounts with delinquent past-due
amounts are subject to prosecution under credit laws of
Virginia and do not qualify for volume discounts. Account
delinquencies cancel contract rate discounts.
2x3 ads: Will be published as classified display. Ads must
be a minimum of 2 col x4” for run-of-paper placement.

• Copy (text). We are not responsible for
any misspelling in the text you send us.
• Any logos or badges
• Any specific art or product photos
We will do our best to find appropriate
graphics and images but if you really want a
specific photo it is generally best to include
it from the beginning if at all possible.
Tip: For best results make sure that
your images are sharp and have a
high resolution. We can alter many
things but we cannot add resolution
or fix out of focus images. We will
also not alter “awards” given by a
third party reviewer.

rep will pass all information along to our
talented graphics team. Using a mixture
of skill, time and precision they will
design a beautiful ad to promote your
business
Once our graphics team is finished, you will get an
email containing your proof. At this point it is
critical that you look over the entire proof
thoroughly and combine as many changes as
possible into one change order. Be sure to respond
as quickly as possible with either your changes or
your approval. We will not run an ad without
approval. So remember to send your changes in
early enough to allow time for the approval
process.
Tip: Use the reply all function of your email to
include your ad representative in on the
