CELEBRATING LIVING LEGEND
Laureate Conductor
JOHN WILLIAMS
DEAR GROUP LEADERS
As you read this, I hope you and your family are enjoying the holiday
season. In keeping with the spirit of gift giving, I am delighted to
offer this first glimpse of our upcoming Boston Pops Spring schedule.
This year we will celebrate living legend, Pops Laureate Conductor
John Williams, highlighted by screenings of Jaws in Concert (world
premiere) and E.T. in Concert with the Boston Pops playing his
thrilling scores live in sync with the films. I am personally delighted
to be presenting the symphonic world premiere of Sondheim
on Sondheim with the music and stories of one of our greatest
American musical theater writers, performed for the first time with
a full orchestra and a cast of Broadway stars and rising talents from
the Tanglewood Music Center. Other highlights include the Pops
performing the music of ABBA (bring your mom for Mother’s Day!),
rocking out with the B-52s, and rare concert appearances with the
incomparable Queen Latifah and Hamilton star Leslie Odom, Jr.
I look forward to seeing you at Symphony Hall!
All my best,
