Artist in Residence Sculptor and painter Mar k Ragonese and his band of mer r y ar tists have finished
building the basic structure that will stand in front of our school, hopefully for the next few years, decorated
with wishing flags that are being completed this week. The student murals of historical Epping will be completed in time for the big culminating event and potluck supper on April 20. This event will be a blast as the
murals will be unveiled and we all parade through the decorated structure.
Mr. Rogers said it best about what children need and want. My wife found this video of Mr . Roger s
that is making its way around cyberspace. As usual it’s very simple and strikes to the heart of the basic need
of children to be accepted for who they are. Hopefully, at EES, all students should feel accepted and treasured
no matter what size, shape or condition they have. Hopefully, if our work as parents, guardians and teachers is
successful, they will become wonderful adult human beings. Check out this link which shows Mr. Rogers
with a friend in two scenes twenty years apart. The link and lyrics are below.

It’s you I like,……..
It’s not the things you wear,
It’s not the way you do your hair–
But it’s you I like
The way you are right now,
The way down deep inside you–
Not the things that hide you,
Not your toys–
They’re just beside you.
But it’s you I like–
Every part of you,
Your skin, your eyes, your feelings
Whether old or new.
I hope that you’ll remember
