ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS FOR YOUR
MILANO TWINKLY CHANDELIER
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
*These instructions are provided for your safety. It’s important that they are read completely before beginning installation of fixture.
*If any special control devices are used with this fixture, follow the instructions carefully to assure full compliance with N.E.C.
requirements. If there are any questions, contact a qualified electrical contractor.
*We strongly recommend installation by a licensed electrician. NOTE: This item can NOT be hung on a vaulted or sloped ceiling.
ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
**SHUT OFF ELECTRICAL SUPPLY AT CIRCUIT BREAKER**
1. Remove all parts carefully from the carton. Arrange bags containing glass parts according to the row number labeled on the outside
of the bag. Do not throw away any parts.
2. Remove mounting plate (A) from canopy (E) by un-threading screws (F). Set screws (F) aside.
3. Lift mounting plate (A) to the ceiling outlet box. Once aligned in the desired position, use a pencil to mark the locations
of mounting holes (B) on the outside edges of the mounting plate.
4. Set the mounting plate aside and drill small holes at the marked locations. Holes should be sized so anchors (Q) fit securely inside.
5. Push anchors (Q) into the holes. Lift mounting plate (A) to the ceiling. Carfully pull the wires from the outlet box and pull them
through the center hole in mounting plate (A). Attach mounting plate (A) to ceiling outlet box using screws (C). For additional
support in attaching the mounting plate to the ceiling, thread screws (D) through holes (B) and into wall anchors (Q).
6. Thread bottom extension (H) and top extension (H) together.
7. Thread bottom extension (H) onto nipple (I). *Make sure wiring is pulled taut from above top extensions when threading parts
together to prevent damage to the electrical cord.*
8. Thread top extension (H) into swivel (G). *Make sure wiring is pulled taut from above canopy when threading parts together to
prevent damage to the electrical cord.*
9. Lift canopy (E) to mounting plate (A) and make proper electrical connections in steps 10-12.
A LICENSED ELECTRICIAN IS RECOMMENDED.
10. Attach ground wire from fixture (green or silver in color) to ground wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with wire nut (P).
Wrap connection with electrical tape.
11. Attach hot wire from fixture (black in color or smooth side of wire to hot wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together with
wire nut (P). Wrap connection with electrical tape.
12. Attach neutral wire from fixture (white in color or ribbed side of wire) to neutral wire from outlet box. Fasten wires together
with wire nut (P). Wrap connection with electrical tape.
13. Carefully push wire connections back into the ceiling outlet box.
14. Lift canopy (E) over mounting plate (A). Use canopy screws (F) to attach the canopy to the mounting plate (A).
15. Install six, 60W max Type G, candelabra base bulbs into the sockets (J).
16. Carefully attach the glass pieces to the canopy. See Figure 1 for row placement on canopy (E). Hang the glass piece by threading
chains (L) onto nipples (K) in the corresponding rows.
17. Chain 1 (O), the longest chains (16 total):
8 should be placed on the innermost Row 1 surrounding sockets (J)
The other 8 should be placed on every other nipple on Row 2.
18. Chain 2 (N), the second to longest chains (16 total):
8 should be placed on every other nipple on Row 2
The other 8 should be placed on every other nipple (K) on Row 3.
19. Chain 3 (M), the shortest chains (16 total):
8 should be placed on every other nipple on Row 3
The other 8 should be placed on the outermost Row 4.
20. Reconnect power at the circuit breaker and test the fixture.
** To clean, use soft cloth only. Do not use any chemical or abrasive cleaners. **
