floor. It’s just smaller! Put your finger on 2. Now jump three more numbers to the right. First jump to 3 (follow
the arrow). That’s one jump. Now jump to 4. That’s 2 jumps. Now jump to 5. That’s 3 jumps.
Try it again on the blank number line on the bottom. Put your finger on 2. Now add on 3 more. Jump three times
to the right. What number do you end up on? Right! 5 2 and 3 more is 5. 2 + 3 = 5
