COMPANY The Cayman Yachts brand name was established in 1990, within the Mochi Craft Company, as the brainchild of Luigi Prosperi who was, at that time, Chairman of the most famous shipyard in the whole of Italy. In 1996, after having left the Mochi Craft Company, Prosperi moved the Cayman brand, of which he remains sole proprietor, to the La Spezia headquarters of “Cayman Yachts”, using the brand to kick-start the fledgling Company, he was aided by his nautical engineer son, Paolo, a factor that proved to be of fundamental importance for the shipyard in terms of developing a range of vessels that was to become the starting point for further development. Entrepreneurial success soon became evident due to the fact that the Company began to grow quickly and steadily. Over the years, Cayman concentrated on the construction of vessels that were important, both in terms of size and equipment, thereby tenaciously following the path laid out by a man who has the necessary knowledge, thanks to his more than 40 years of experience in the field. Market and public approval and success are confirmation of the fact that the company has moved in the right direction. PHILOSOPY The Company Philosophy for Cayman Yachts, the market-based way of life is not measured in terms of what others are doing, but rather, it represents a desire to achieve the objective of personal perfection as regards product quality and utilization of these products. The solutions that have always been adopted constitute the true spirit of Cayman and derive from the special attention paid to safety and to the utility of the vessel, namely the inset gangways, the flat area at the bow to avoid accidental slipping and falling, the well-protected cockpit without any protuberances and the ample passageways at the stern. All of which are essential elements of a philosophy that puts the Customer’s total relaxation at the top of the list. 2 RESEARCH AND SECURITY Notwithstanding any changes that may occur in fashions and trends, within Cayman, our commitment to seeking improvements in terms of the quality and reliability of our boats always remains the same. The most important aspect of this commitment is that the Cayman range of boats are conceived and constructed in the best possible manner, particularly as regards construction materials, technical choices, on-board systems and, last but not by any means least, the interior furnishings, which are still created using the most sought after materials, just as they have always been. Proof of this fact is demonstrated by our long-term collaboration with the prestigious Nuvolari & Lenard studio, which has given its stamp of approval to our Shipyard’s range of products. At Cayman, we are not particularly interested in producing more cheaply, but we would far rather aim to provide the user with the pleasure and peace of mind that comes from being in control of a vessel that has been designed to remain in the water indefinitely. THE COMPANY WE SEE TODAY This philosophy and this way of thinking have resulted in the organisation we see today, with its range of 12 models of vessel, ranging from 38 to ... feet, in the production site of La Spezia, participation in all of the major boating trade fairs around the world, an order book that continues to grow steadily and a product that is widely recognised as being the peak of excellence in terms of the much-acclaimed “Made in Italy” concept. 3 SHIPYARD The headquarters of “Cayman Yachts” Shipyard is located at La Spezia and covers a total surface area of 6000sq.m, of which 3200 are under cover. The shipyard is situated near the motorway off ramp and is only a short drive from any one of the many ports of call in the splendid “Golfo dei Poeti” (The Gulf of Poets). This strategic location allows for sea tests and trials year-round, thanks to the Gulf’s orographical features and the area’s climate, which are particularly favourable. All of our working areas are fully compliant as regards the safety and environmental regulations in force. The “Cayman Yachts” Shipyard operates in accordance with the following: ISO 9001 Quality Control Systems and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Systems. 4 HARD TOP LINE 5 CAYMAN 75 HT The appeal of an original creation in the strictest tradition of unmistakeable Cayman style. A fascinating “predator”, designed for sailing in absolute comfort and to stick out from the crowd. A lounge area worthy of a “villa”, an impressive “Schiffini” galley kitchen, a full air conditioning system and an electrically operated hydraulic sliding roof. A sophisticated bridge area, three separate cabins (two double cabins and one twin-bed cabin), each with its own large bathroom. Doors and walls panelled in solid bleached oak and edged in wengè and sought after fabrics lining the ceiling, which is outlined by concealed lighting that evokes a feeling of enveloping intimacy. Indoors there is a living area in the prow section, fitted with a sofa, sunbed and fold-away table, creating a veritable day area that is protected by an electrically operated hydraulic sunscreen. Large deck area equipped with a large table, a large sofa and a number of deck chairs. From the deck area it is possible to enter the double crew cabin with private bathroom. Via a watertight door, there is a staircase leading either down to the engine room, or up to the roof of the boat where a second fly bridge is located. Two symmetrical staircases are located at the stern, one covering the walkway and the electrical cables for jetty connections, while the other covers a change room and shower facility and the watertight door leading to the engine room. The vessel also has a stern platform and a garage housing a 3.40m tender. The vessel is powered by two 1675HP CAT engines and is also equipped with two 17KW power generator units, 5500-litre fuel tanks and 1200-litre water tanks (the vessel is fitted with a desalination plant with an operating capacity of 120lt/hr). The Cayman 75 HT is a true predator when it comes to devouring nautical miles, a safe and reliable vessel, made totally enchanting by its elegant design and its luxury and comfort, beautiful as a dream and strong as the passion that led to its creation: as always, 38 years of top class nautical expertise have left their mark. The vessel was designed by the shipyard’s technical department. 6 DATA SHEET CAYMAN 75 HARD TOP Length, stem to stern : 23.05 m ; 74.5 ft Width, port to starboard : 5.64 m ; 18.37 ft Draught : 1.50 m ; 4.9 ft Displacement : 56 000 lb Fresh water reservoir : 1 200 Lt ; 330 gallons Fuel tank : 5 500 Lt ; 1512 gallons Engine : Caterpillar c32 - 2x 1675hp Transmission : Direct driveline Maximum speed : 33 kn Cruise speed : 29 kn Hull : Deep-V, 20° pitch at the stern Bulding material : fibreglass and epoxy composite Maximum No. of passengers permitted : 14 Minimum No. of people required : 2 No. of Berths : 6+2 7 CAYMAN 62 HT classic Cayman 62 HT is a 19,50 m length and 5,05 m beam boat, a new concept open extending the traditional open boat values in a dimension of a full enjoyability taking possession of the fly bridge big comfortable spaces. Cayman 62 HT belongs to the new Cayman open-fly line, a so-called range of boats since it wisely conjugates the characteristics of both boat typologies, maintaining a strong sporting personality. The plan and the design are by Cayman Yachts Engineering. The boat is equipped with a foldaway stern closing, allowing to separate the stern cockpit from the hall which is luxuriously furnished and then differently from the usual open boat spartan arrangement: walnut or whitened durmast precious essence furniture, coupled with steel furniture elements, transparent materials and wengé, according to the choices of the Owner who is invited to participate with his style and taste to create as much as possible a “made to measure boat”. The cabins are three, among them a central one with double bed, a vip cabin at the bow and a host cabin with two beds on the same level, all equipped with their own toilette. Outside Cayman 62 HT is equipped with a sun deck at the bow, wide side walk ways allowing moving on board with the greatest safety, a gangway folding away under the cockpit - gangway step, tender stowed in a garage space on which it has been created a wide stern sun deck. An under lying platform allows an easy access to the water and keep space to stow an aqua scooter. Generous motorisation, consisting of an engine pair, 2400 HP in total, with peak performances of 33 knots and 29 knot cruises. 8 DATA SHEET CAYMAN 62 HT CLASSIC Length, stem to stern : 19.87 m ; 65 ft Beam over all : 5.06 m ; 16.6 ft Draft at the propellers : 1.74 m ; 5.1 ft Displacement : 77820 lb Water tank : 185 gallons Fuel tank : 3650 Lt ; 964 gallons Engine : 2xMan v8-1200 from 1200hp Generator : n°1 generator Kolher 17.68 hp Maximum speed : 33 kn Cruise speed : 29 kn Hull : Deep-V, 20° pitch at the stern Berths : 6+2 Cabins : 3+1 Bathrooms : 3+1 Crew Cabin : 1 Bulding material : fibreglass and epoxy composite Design category : A 9 CAYMAN 62 HT avantgarde The Cayman 62 HT delivers outstanding technical innovation, especially in its construction technology and fuel consumption, 35% less than that of a normal craft with the same characteristics. The Cayman 62 HT is of real yacht size: 18 metres long and 5 metres across the beam. From bows to stern there are a large number of new features, starting from the sofa for lounging in the bows, the panoramic saloon with side door and aft door which retracts fully to extend the cockpit and sunbathing area into the large saloon, and the dinghy garage which allows the tender to be launched and taken from the water with a single click. The craft is powered by two 715 HP Cummins engines with ZEUS transmission for truly amazing handling and performance. The vessel has a top speed of 32 knots and cruising speed of 27 knots, with fuel consumption of 200 litres per hour, really minimal for a yacht this size with displacement of 27 tonnes. The interiors comprise an owner’s cabin in the centre with its own bathroom and separate shower, large and light-filled thanks to large windows which mean there is none of the claustrophobic impression often found below decks, a fine VIP cabin in the bows with its own bathroom, and alongside either a twin bedded cabin or a dinette and study zone which can still be transformed into a cabin for two. The version with dinette is very popular since it can also be used as a breakfast area in view of its position close to the galley, which is large and equipped with safe, stateof-the-art appliances such as induction burners which, unlike the glass hob type, cease producing heat once they are no longer in use, eliminating all fire hazards. The electrical system comprises a Touch Screen for the main controls on the master panel in the engine room. Lighting may be by means of LED lamps, to prevent overheating but above all for drastically reduced power consumption with the same level of light, meaning the battery charge lasts almost twice as long. This innovative design, achieved through meticulous development work and drawing on many years of experience in boatbuilding, was produced by the Cayman yard’s technical office under Paolo Prosperi; the styling and furnishing of the interiors, and the selection of all the materials used, is the work of the Milan design firm HoT Lab. Through this project, Cayman Yachts is able to offer clients a high degree of customisation and assist them in their decisions with advice from professionals of proven experience and expertise, as well as providing a full after-sales service for the craft after launching, which includes routine services. 10 DATA SHEET CAYMAN 62 HT AVANTGARDE Length, stem to stern : 19.87 m ; 65 ft Beam over all : 5.06 m ; 16.6 ft Draft at the propellers : 1.74 m ; 5.1 ft Displacement : 77820 lb Water tank : 185 gallons Fuel tank : 3650 Lt ; 964 gallons Engine : 2xMan v8-1200 from 1200hp Generator : n°1 generator Kolher 17.68 hp Maximum speed : 33 kn Cruise speed : 29 kn Hull : Deep-V, 20° pitch at the stern Berths : 6+2 Cabins : 3+1 Bathrooms : 3+1 Crew Cabin : 1 Bulding material : fibreglass and epoxy composite Design category : A 11 FLYING BRIDGE LINE 12 CAYMAN 70 FLY 13 MAIN DATA SHEET CAYMAN 70 FLY Length, stem to stern : 22,20 m Beam over all : 5,45 m Displacement : 36.000 kg Water tank : 750 lt Fuel tank : 4.200 lt Engine : MAN 2 x 1360 HP Hull : Deep-V, pitch at the stern Design category : A 14 CAYMAN 62 FLY Cayman 62 Fly is a superb realisation, an extremely complete product, studied in each detail to offer the maximum comfort and the elegance.
