wear gloves to minimize any hand injuries and are advised
not to crawl to the rink side if they fall away from the

Skates must be put on correctly and must have all clips
fastened correctly. Staff are aware of incorrect boot
fastenings and will advise and help to fasten boots if

accompanied by an adult, except on all school visits, which
must have adequate supervision as required by the local

Only food grade glycol is used on the ice rink floor and

The rink is operated in an outside environment and is open
to the public. Our management will endeavor to curtail
any public abuse and will obtain the services of the local
police if necessary.

Skaters are asked to inform staff of any illness or condition
that may be affected by skating. Any skater that is skating

Skaters will all skate in one direction. Skating across the
ice or against the flow of people will not be allowed.
Skaters will be limited to max number allowed and all
customers will be monitored by experienced ice stewards.
Skaters that are a danger to others will be removed from
the ice rink. All skaters will be advised to hold on to the
barriers for their own safety until used to the ice.

All staff are briefed on an emergency evacuation plan and
are aware of all exits and entrances and the positions of fire
extinguishers. Adequate fire extinguishers are provided.
Marquees are fully fire rated for public use.

All customers are to queue in designated areas, keeping
foot traffic away from any roads. When exiting the ice
rink, barriers will be in place to direct customers away
from roadsides. Supervision by rink staff and assistants

out of public reach and will be certified by a qualified
electrician. All Christmas lighting around the rink will be
