Oh My Goodness!!
Observation:
AHHHhhhhh~~~
Oh My Goodness is a very simple website. The colors are simple with white
background and a logo supporting their website name. It looks kind of bare but yet it has
many contents. It has a menu for different kind of cards, a sign up for their free newsletter, an A-Z category search and a
search for all e-cards. The menus are in a pull down style. It also provides a What’s New Today and a card of the day. The
website provides free printable calendars, free wallpapers, free e-cards and personalized mugs or T-shirts. It have several links
on the right side of the page that can take you to free stuff such as wallpapers,
calendar and advertisements for their own product, mugs and T-shirts. Some
interesting things on the websites are the little moving pictures and cards of each
current theme that are very cute. The whole website looks plain but it looks very
lively and cute.
Mechanics:
The website has a great selection of free e-cards, wallpapers, calendars etc.
It has main simple button on the home page that lead you to more selection of that
category. The website allows you to print out calendars, send musical or plain ecards to friends and provide a sale product of personalized T-shirt and mugs. It is
very easy to follow with a menu on the bottom of the page allowing you to return to homepage of the previous page. On the
bottom of the main page provides you to send email to the workers of the OMG. All the product s on OhMyGoodness.com
are free to charge except the personalized mugs and T-shirts. No downloads needed to view the website. All the buttons on
the mouse is very helpful to move around the web. No new windows pop up if you press anything. I think overall the operation of
the website is very good, no need of any more menus or less menus.
Contents:
OhMyGoodness.com have many cute e-cards and all the materials are appropriate. It has a huge
selection of e-cards and it gets updated very often. It has more selection than other website on themes or
special days. The site was very easy to use. You can get to the place you want very easily sometimes just
by a simple click. It is not very confusing with the different things you have to choose. One thing I don’t
like about it is by one click, MANY selection come up and it will take a long time too look through and find the one you want.
This website can be used by all age and all gender. Even adults can find interesting things or a little chuckle on the website.
The website was last updated at the end of August 2002. This website is operated by OhMy Enterprise Inc.
Conclusion:
Overall, this website is a really cute and funny to me. It is great with all the different kinds of e-cards I can send to my
friends or families. It can even allow me to send e-cards to a cell phone, which I found out to be really cool. I also love their logo
for the website. The name is also very cute. But I think the website can use a little bit more color to make
it more interesting. More art works can be placed on it or else it seems kind
of bare. More pictures would be good. They should add some attraction
to the website so other people could have a good first impression on it. I
would probably give it a

Observation:
Blue Mountain is a website that chose the color orange and yellow to be their main color.
The
graphics are the cards from their web and the text is simple. On the top is a different selection
of
products other that greeting cards then the page is split into two sections. It has a section for
cards.
The advertisements are on the right side of the page. It had advertisement on the free trail of
members (paid) and a section for free cards. Each section have the categories of the different
their website, a free music greeting site, orbitz, verified and a learn-to-read
for first graders. If you click on those, it will take you to the main site of the
topic. As I open bluemountain.com, a advertising of their web pop up and
as I move through the web, no further pop up windows. The website
doesn’t have any search engines or pull-down menus.
Mechanics:
The website provides a large selection of e-greeting cards, gifts,
screen savers and music greetings. This website only provide some free
services, other than that, you have to be one of the member in order to use
their services. No downloads needed to view the website. On the website,
if I am a member, I could send e-greeting cards to my friends or families or
maybe even music greeting cards. I can also choose gifts and personalized it from the gift center. Blue Mountain allows you to
have a one-month free trial and then after that it would suggest you to join their member. When you go around the web,
sometimes the window of the free trial would pop up and advertisement for several companies. On the very bottom of the page,
there is a section for contacting them. The back and forward buttons are very helpful when you are selecting a card.
Contents:
The content of the website is very appropriate. I think it is a web more for adults than children since it is a paid service.
Any gender can use the website especially it have many different selection for cards and each category is full of interesting
and
cute cards. The website is very easy to go through, I think even a little kid can
operate the website. It has no complicating procedure to go through and the
categories of the cards are very clearly shown on the main page. Last time the website
is
updated was just yesterday. Blue Mountain, Blue Mountain Arts, and the logo are
service marks of BMA Holdings, LLC in USA.
Conclusion:
Overall, Blue Mountain provides a really professional and great service. The selections of the cards
are abundant and the overall look is not so bad. What I will suggest about Blue Mountain is to add some
graphics to it instead of just pictures of the cards. The website may seem a little too wordy for some people
and many may lose interest very fast. It could also set up a search for cards so it would be quicker for choosing cards. The logo
represents their name and it is simple but cute. First impression is still very important so I think Blue Mountain should really
work on the graphics just I said before. The lay out of the page might seem a bit crowded. I would give it a

Observation:
Regards uses different shades of blue as their color. The whole body of color is my favorite so I like it VERY much.
The website has a fairly readable font and the titles are clear away from the
main body of text. For each service they shown on their website, next to it
there is a little graphic representing the service. There are little clip art icons
that I think describes the topic very well. There are several advertisements on
the website. On the very top, there is an advertisement for photogra.com and
on the sides are advertisements for credit cards etc. There is a small menu on
the top showing the main services they provide and in the center is a clear
listing of all the things. A description of the service follow by a little icon. On
the left side is a pick up place for cards then a listing of member’s features.
On the bottom of that are one or two advertisements and on the right side are a listing of different kinds of cards, upcoming
events and advertisements. I found the listing of services and the upcoming events very interesting. The upcoming events kind
of gives you a reminder each time you look at it.
Mechanics:
The buttons, scroll bars and the links all work very well. No errors happen while I was moving
around the page. Nothing to download from the website. The whole service is free even the members
are free. If you join their member you get more advantage because they provide you address book,
add music, future sending and many other more great things. The bottom of the page provides a
section that talks about them and
you can ask them about questions.
Regards doesn’t have any pop up
windows as you view the web, which is
things to it and just by pressing
back and forward is very fast. Regards can use a search engine
very
good.
The
back
and
forwards button will be very helpful since Regards has so many
for the cards on their web or any
sort of menu related to that.
Contents:
The materials on Regards.com I found it very professional and good. Each card is made with hard works by the looks
of it. Each card is very creative and cute. I like it a lot. The website is very easy to follow but might be a little confusing by all
the different services. Everyone is capable of the website. I found the children will adore the cards and the little icon creates an
easy understanding for kids. Adults would find the website very appropriate and the great services would be suitable for them.
The website is operated by The Rare Medium Group, Inc. Regards.com is rated by Media Matrix and it was within the top
400 sites.
Conclusion:
Overall, I like Regards.com a lot. The color of the web is so cool (from my point of view) and the many features on the
website. Not just greeting cards but it also provides a great service that you can do with photos. It has many cards for me to
choose from and each card is very creative. I think it is the best out of the three that I reviewed. On
the other hand, I think it could use some more menus or search to make things quicker. I would give it
a
