Summer is finally here! The sun is HOT, but we are still going to try and get outside as much as possible.
Please make sure to apply sunscreen to your child in the morning and we will reapply in the afternoon. It
has been an awesome school year in Infant Two; all of our little friends are growing up so quickly! We loved
seeing our friends grow and watch them experience all of their “firsts” (words, steps, food, etc). We would
like to welcome our new friends Amelia and Finn from Infant One! You will fit right into our classroom! We
are sad to see some of our friends leave and move onto the toddler rooms! Stella and Harry: we will miss
you, but are excited to see you take on your next adventure!
This month, we will continue to go outside as much as we can. Please remember to bring in shoes and sun
hats each day. When it is too hot go out, we will splash around and have fun playing with water and toys in
the sensory table. We will also be busy painting our hands to make boats, fish and beach balls. Infant Two
would like to wish all of our dads a Happy Father’s Day on June 18th!

We say goodbye to the month of May and hello to June! We are looking forward to sunny days and
warmer weather! We loved making our own “vegetable garden” and learning all about different plants!
We also were able to celebrate Mother’s Day by making special gifts for our moms! We loved having
the opportunity to spend more time outdoors as the weather got nicer throughout the month! We said
goodbye to Sarah in May as well and wish her all the best in her new ventures.
June is a big month for all of us! Not only is it the last month of the school year, but it is the first
month of summer and includes a transition for us. We are all getting ready to transition to a new
classroom and to new experiences. We still have many activities to accomplish in T1A first though!
We will get creative and make gifts for our dads. We also will prepare for our Toddler Family Fun Day!
This special morning will take place on Friday, June 23rd from 9:30-10:45. It will include many special
activities for you to do with your child and some yummy treats too!

May was a fun month! The children
enjoyed looking at their moms on
our wall and were so proud of the
gifts they made! We hope you
enjoyed them! Our favorite book last
month was Panda Bear, Panda Bear
by Eric Carle. We had so much fun
celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a
parade. Everyone loved marching
around the building with the
instruments that they made! We
ended the month by singing some
patriotic songs and creating lots of
red, white and blue artwork in honor
of Memorial Day! Also, we would like
to welcome Albert to our classroom!
He is settling right into our daily
routines.
In June, we will be celebrating
birthdays with Dominic (6/6), Viyaan
(6/18) and Meredith (6/27). We hope
you all have very happy birthdays! At
the end of the month, we will sadly
say goodbye to all of our friends as
they move to the older Toddler
Classrooms. We will miss you, but
know that you are ready for new
challenges!
Our last month with these friends
will be spent planning our end of the
year “Toddler Family Fun Day” on
June 23rd. Invitations will be handed
out soon! We will be celebrating by
making our special men a very
special gift, creating fun musical
instruments, exploring sensory by
making ooey-gooey fun projects and
learning all about caterpillars. We
will have the opportunity to have
caterpillars in our classroom and
watch them grow, as well as, change
into beautiful butterflies. This is such
a fun experience for the children so
please make sure to talk to your child
about the changes they see!
We hope to see you all at Family Fun
Day! Happy Summer!

Can you believe summer is almost
here? With all the fun we had in May,
the time just flew by!
T2 was full of fun activities during
the month of May! The children
loved making their Mother’s Day
gifts. We hope all our moms enjoyed
their handmade vases and flowers.
We have some natural gardeners in
T2. The flower seeds we planted only
took a few days to begin sprouting!
The children have really enjoyed
watering them and watching them
grow! At the end of the month, we
sadly said goodbye to our friend
Cynthia. We were so sad to have to
her leave us, but we hope she has fun
and wish her safe travels as she
ventures off to China.
June is sure to bring even more
excitement to our room. We will be
making Dad a special gift this month
for Father’s Day! However, these
kids sure know how to keep a secret
so, sorry, but you will just have to
wait to find out what it is! We will
also be getting our caterpillars again
this month. The children love to
watch them grow and change
through their life cycle. Then we all
gather together outside as we say
goodbye to our new beautiful
butterflies and watch all summer
long to see if they return for a visit. In
June, we will also be having our
Annual Toddler Family Fun Day.
There will be lots of fun games and
activities for you and your child to
participate in, as well as, yummy
treats to enjoy. We hope you all can
make it! We will end the month of
June with our summer transition. We
would like to wish our friends Clark,

We cannot believe we are already at the last month of the school year! May flew right by as we learned all about faraway places. The kids really enjoyed this month’s theme and were looking to learn more about it. We began by
learning all about the 7 continents and different kinds of land forms. We made paper plate globes with cut-outs of the
continents, which we decorated with crayons and glue. We then discussed North America. We talked specifically
about America, Mexico and Canada. We made tacos out of paper, scissors and glue in honor of Mexico and a maple
leaf for Canada. We then traveled south and discussed some of the countries in South America. For Brazil, we made a
toucan out of water colors. We also made an alpaca out of paper plates and cotton balls to represent Peru. We then
traveled down under and discovered the continent of Australia, which includes New Zealand. We decorated our own
boom-a-rangs with markers. Then we discussed Europe where we learned about the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain and
France. We made gondolas out of paper, scissors and glitter glue. When we learned about United Kingdom and made
castles with paper and crayons and made royal guards with Popsicle sticks to glue on our castles. For Spain, we made
masquerade dancers with muffin wrappers. When we discussed France and had fun making the Eiffel Tower out of
Popsicle sticks. We ended the month and trip to fair away places by discussing Asia. We learned about Russia, China
and Japan. We painted Russian architecture with water colors and shapes. For China, we made hats with paper. When
we discussed Japan, we made cherry blossoms with paint. For every country we discussed this month, we made maps,
flags, art projects and even recreated architecture in block area. Every child will be taking home a passport portfolio,
be sure to check it out to see where we have been and all we have learned about these places!
June will go by before we know it. We will be focusing on preparing out graduation show and reflecting back on the
year together. It truly has been a fun-filled year and we have enjoyed watching your children learn and grow! As we
sent them off to Kindergarten, we know they will succeed and wish them the best of luck! Do not forget to stop by and
visit us, we want to hear all about your Kindergarten adventures!

Can you believe it is June already?! The last
month of Kindergarten! This school year went
by so fast! With June comes lots of hard work
and practice for graduation! I am sure that by
time graduation comes, you will know all the
songs by heart too! It is a very fun and exciting
time for us. Graduation will be at 11:30am on
Thursday, June 22nd at the Father Smith Center
at Saint Anne’s Church on Route 9 in
Shrewsbury. The end of the year field trip will
follow on Friday, June 23rd. The children will be
going to the Ecotarium in Worcester. Please
watch for further information as the date gets
closer.
During the month of May, we reviewed all the
letters of the alphabet and celebrated all the
reasons we love our moms! We had so much
fun creating gifts, making cards and inviting
them to spend some time at school with us! We
also took some time to learn about gardening,
the parts of a plant and how to care for them
too! After gardening, we learned about insects;
which bugs are and which bugs are not?! They
must have six legs and three body parts! We
ended the month learning all about butterflies;
their lifecycle and colored wings are truly
amazing! We will soon watch and observe our
own caterpillars turn into beautiful butterflies.
On Friday, June 16th, we will host a special
morning for that important dad, grandfather
or uncle in our lives from 8:45-10am. We will
create special gifts and cards to show them
how special and important they all are to us.
We will also take a trip down memory lane
recalling all the fun times we had this year and
finish the month with our big graduation show!
A BIG thank you goes out to all our families for
a fun-filled year of learning. To our
Kindergarteners taking the summer off or
heading out to other camps: have a safe and
fantastic summer! Good luck next year! To our
friends staying here at Camp SCC…get ready
for some fun!
Happy Birthday wishes go out to Mitsuki on
