In 2011, they had approximately 26,000 admissions, 322,00 outpatient visits, 136,000 emergency visits, delivered 4,600 babies, and performed 24,000 surgeries. In 2012, Colorado Springs voters agreed to lease Memorial to the University of Colorado Health (UC Health) to further expand its health care services to the Pikes Peak region. This change in governance is the first for the hospital since acquired by the City of Colorado Springs in 1943.
