Online consultation can help to engage North Grenville residents in decision-making processes.
It ensures that the directions and the decisions of the Municipality during this routine Official
Plan Review are informed by local knowledge and reflect the perspectives of residents. This is
what consultation is all about!
It is essential that everyone feels that they have a safe place to talk about the Official Plan
Review. When someone with malicious intent enters the discussion on the online forum, it can
throw off the balance and sidetrack these efforts.
What sorts of posts will be removed from the forum?
Inappropriate profanity, unconstructive criticism, and off-topic posts do not bring any value to
online consultation.
Any comments that are overtly discriminatory, prejudice, or mean will be removed from the
discussion forum. Off-topic comments may also be removed from the forum out of respect for
participants’ time.
These guidelines are not intended to discourage passion or criticism, but rather protect
participants from undue or irrelevant attacks.

kitchen table, don’t post it on the forum.
